About this listen

Based on the research and his own personal journey, the author explores and explains the four phases of retirement almost everyone experiences. If you're not yet retired, this handy guide will show you what to expect. If you are retired, it'll help you sort out the changes and challenges you'll face. Everyone says you've got to get ready financially. No, you've got to get ready psychologically.

Great for recent retirees. Provides something other than financial retirement information to reflect and prepare for.

Want to know where your retired friends and relatives are mentally? This book might help.

Worth the read!

it was nice to finally have a retirement guide that did not focus solely on financial considerations. Not the best guide to retirement that I've read but certainly not the worst. It is also possible that there is a lot more information in the regular book. Also, I believe there's a podcast that goes with it which I did not listen to.

Some thought-provoking information.

2min of content repeated over and over. This is essentially a 1pg magazine article rehashed into a longer book. Don’t buy.

Waste

I hoped to get some insight into what to expect aside from the financial perspective. The phases described are what anyone who has put any thought would expect.
