About this listen

Gray doesn't make friends with women. He has sex with them. Until Ivy.

The last thing star tight-end Gray Grayson wants to do is drive his agent's daughter's bubblegum pink car. But he needs the wheels, and she's studying abroad. Something he explains when she sends him an irate text to let him know exactly how much pain she'll put him in if he crashes her beloved ride. Before he knows it, Ivy Mackenzie has become his best texting bud. But then Ivy comes home, and everything goes haywire. Because the only thing Gray can think of is being with Ivy.

Ivy doesn't have sex with friends. Especially not with a certain football player. No matter how hot he makes her....

Gray drives Ivy crazy. He's irreverent, sex on a stick, and completely off-limits. Because, Ivy has one golden rule: Never get involved with one of her father's clients. A rule that's proving harder to keep now that Gray is doing his best to seduce her. Her best friend is fast becoming the most irresistible guy she's ever met.

Which means Gray is going to have to use all his skills to win Ivy's heart. Game on.

Contains mature themes.

The story itself is nice but the female narrator is just not doing the trick at reading his part. Teddy is as good as always. Overall, cute story and great feelings if you get used to the narration.

Loved the book! Teddy Hamilton is the king or narrating! I would listen to the encyclopedia or the dictionary if he’s reading it!!!

Tugged at my emotions, enjoyed watching the characters growth and sex scenes were hot and believable. The team reading was amazing! Made my commute go by quickly. Good read and off to the next one.

I loved the banter between Gray and Ivy from the very beginning! This was such a cute story from beginning to end and kept me smiling throughout. I would have loved to have listened to this in duet narration because Teddy Hamilton is everything!

Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This one had enough slow-burn tension to make me want to scream into a pillow—in the best way.

This one had me hooked. Gray and Ivy? Their chemistry could’ve lit a match. The banter was chef’s kiss, but underneath all that heat was a depth I didn’t expect. Watching them circle each other with all their emotional baggage dragging behind them felt raw and real—and honestly? Relatable as hell.

I especially appreciated how the miscarriage moment was handled. It didn’t feel like a throwaway trauma drop—it was tender, grounded, and gave the characters room to actually process. That scene alone earned this book some serious points.

Why not five stars? A few pacing lags and some texting convos that could’ve been trimmed—but nothing major enough to make me put it down.

If you’re into friends-to-lovers, emotional landmines, fake dating, and a man who shows up when it matters? You’ll eat this up.

They were doomed from the start…in the best way!

Having absolutely adored the first book in this series, I had a strong intuition that I would fall in love with this installment as well. And wow, I was completely right! From the very first page, I was drawn in and found it impossible to set the book down. The story left me giddy with excitement, and I couldn't help but break into a smile as I read.

There were moments that had me blushing and laughing out loud, which made the experience even more delightful. While I admit that the miscommunication between the characters occasionally drove me a bit up the wall, it didn't detract significantly from my overall enjoyment. Instead, I found myself fully invested in their journey.

The ending was nothing short of adorable, truly making my heart flutter with joy! I definitely recommend this book, as well as the entire series, to anyone looking for a feel-good read.

honestly I was hesitant on listening to this audiobook but I'm glad I gave it a chance. I always loved Teddy's voice but the review talked a lot about the female voice but when I listened to it I wasn't bothered by it and it grew on me. Grayson was honestly a green flag in the book to Ivy. I like that there wasn't a third act break up because I thought the story might be like most I've listened to where she leaves him back to London when her time was up but Grayson helped her open her eyes to what she wanted early in the beginning. I also love that Grayson knew what he wanted when it came to Ivy. there were times ivy made me mad but that doesn't last long as she has her reasons and she fix the situation quickly and Grayson understood and always knew all the right things to say to her. I wished we got a bit more on Grayson and his father too. I also don't want to spoil but the thing that happened near the ending with the both of them I wish it never happened but overall I would recommend the book and I can't wait till the book comes out next year.
