Publisher's summary

She's not truly a governess. He doesn't want to be a dutiful lord. They're about to collide in this deliciously steamy conclusion to the Unexpected Lords series from USA Today bestselling author Scarlett Scott.

Oliver "Knight" Knightly, newly inherited Earl of Stoneleigh, has been summoned home to England after the sudden death of his brother. However, he has no intention of allowing familial obligations to keep him from the life he made for himself as a champion boxer in America. He will see his wayward nieces settled with a capable governess and return to the fame, fortune, and adoring ladies awaiting him.

Proudly unconventional, Lady Corliss Collingwood plans to establish herself as an author, travel the world, and do whatever pleases her at the moment. What better way to research her novel-in-progress than by posing as a governess? Overseeing a few young ladies can hardly be too difficult a challenge. Can it?

Unfortunately for Corliss, it can. Especially when the ladies in question prove to be wild hellions, and their uncle is the most handsome, tempting, arrogant, vexing man she's ever met. Neither Corliss nor Knight can afford to surrender to the irresistible attraction sparking between them. But that doesn't stop them from finding their way into each other's arms. And before long, into each other's hearts…

Sexy!!

The male narrator's voice is simply sex. It is such a deep, male and sexy voice. I could listen to any story that he wanted to tell. the intimate scenes definitely made me call my husband into the room! lol

I just wish that the male and female narrators could share the chapters. so that the female character could always be her voice and his could always be the male's voice! I'd pay extra for that!

Great love story!

This book had it all, angst, love, steam and a perfect ending. Narrators were perfect and the story was not drawn out like some. Great job! Enjoyed very much!

Such potential wasted

I refused to struggle to finish this ridiculous novel. I even hesitate to call this a novel. What a load of rubbish! The FMC is an idiot. Pretending to be qualified as a governess, getting herself hired as one with the intent to stay for ONE month as a means to write her novel, not well developed. To be believed, one has to adopt an oblivious attitude. After all, who cares about the children in her care and what happens to them when she abandons her post. I couldn't buy into the story as written. The FMC didn't have my heart at all.
My advice? Scott can and has written far better. This isn't worth the time.

Woman as Doormat

I keep hoping I’ll find a Scarlett Scott romance with a strong female protagonist that stands up to the arrogant male and has some self control. Alas, I’m constantly disappointed. Once again, this novel presents a spineless, nymphomaniac without an ounce of self respect. She’s in thrall to Scott’s typical arrogant upper class lout who shames, manipulates and brutalizes a needy simple minded female. Corliss is true to this Scott type, a pathetic woman.

Tedious. Should be a Novella

This story could have been a short story/novella and it might have been good. I had to skip over most of the book just to get to the predictable ending.
