About this listen

Grace or truth…or both? Truth without grace breeds self-righteousness and crushing legalism. Grace without truth breeds deception and moral compromise. Is it possible to embrace both in balance? Jesus did. Randy Alcorn offers a simple yet profound two-point checklist of Christlikeness. “In the end,” says Alcorn, “we don’t need grace or truth. We need grace and truth. And for people to see Jesus in us, they must see both.”

This is a must read for the serious minded Christian. It is the remedy for a "live and let live" societal norm.

What I liked was hearing sound biblical doctrine about grace and truth. Most importantly being confirmed about what I’m teaching as it pertains to grace and truth.

This book is a thoughtful and spiritual articulation of the awesomeness of God’s love in Christ. Jesus full of grace and truth!

I loved how the emphasis is placed on both grace AND truth. Not only a balance of grace and truth but being FULL of grace and truth…just like Jesus. It’s the kindness of God that leads us to repentance but He is Holy and Just and cannot condone sin.

Simple and profound. To think through this paradox is so necessary for every believer. I would definitely recommend this book.

A book I have read over and over...one that I give as Christmas gifts. Such a small book with a very powerful message that should not be missed by believers and nonbeliever alike.

Great reminder of how easily we get distracted and find ourselves out of step. Randy does a great job of living the Kingdom life and encouraging us to join him as he joins Christ.

Another Divine Tension

Thanks for such a concise and articulate explanation of grace and truth! The balance of both is sorely lacking in our churches today.

Fantastic!

This is the balance I had been missing and curious about. I had been thinking of how to talk to our current generation which is even more searching for grace, but not the same for truth. Very short, sweet, and to the point.

Excellent! Balanced and Resourceful
