This Box Set is sort you time and money.

A Box Set: A Collection of a Riveting Haunted House Mysteries. Written by By, James Hunt or Hazel Holmes and Narrated by, Nicki Sacox or Thea Ryder Sorensen.

Writting a Review on a Box Set has always been a task for me. I do not give a true review on each story, but combine an over all opinion of the stories and why I like them with out elaborating on each.

This was a very nice collection of riveting haunted house horror stories. Each had there own source and plots. These two Aurthor's seemed to have nicely assembled them either by writing solo, or joining together in the writing of a story. This holds true also for the Narrator's, but either way they both kept me glued to every chapter of each story, not wanting to put the book down.

The Narrators did an excellent job keeping my intrest from beginning to end with the changing of their voices to adapt to each character. I complement them both, because, some Narrators do not keep my intrest with deep their deep breathing, or smacking off the lips constantly. I have my favorites. I usually curtail the book at that point and return it. A little tip for Arthur's, listen to your own books now and again to see if they are interesting narrators, if they fall into the category I just described.

These stories in my opinion are for mature reading or listening, as it has explicit language and enough content to keep the younger generation awake at nights.

good

The first book was about selfish greed. The villains were a surprise. Clara was hard to like because of the way she treated her husband like he was an afterthought. It seemed all about her. She became palatable at the end. The next 2 books are one story, and it is senseless killing and curses with creature that change shapes and have powers. The ending was a bit anticlimactic after all the hoopla, but a decent story. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrators did a good job bringing it to life.

Soooo boring!

I tried to make it through the 1st story but had to stop about ⅓ way in, every character repeated ad nauseam every single plot detail. After hearing the back story of the inn told, thought about then retold then rethought about then passed on to the next person who did the same thing…. Ugh. My breaking point was when Nathaniel, a young cook, was confronted for the 100th time on his connection to the inn
Tried book number 2 (which is two books), I disliked the main protagonist, Sarah, so much that I wanted her to get frozen and consumed by the ‘shadow’
I have a library full of horror, I love the genre, I even bought this book (out of credits) with high hopes. All I can say is ‘run away, run away’ and skip this book!
