About this listen

Seven guests. One killer. A holiday to remember…

‘Addictive and fun’ Daily Mail

Not all the guests will survive their stay…

You use an app, called Cloud BNB, to book a room online. And on a cold and windy afternoon you arrive at The Guesthouse, a dramatic old building on a remote stretch of hillside in Ireland.

You are expecting a relaxing break, but you find something very different. Something unimaginable. Because a killer has lured you and six other guests here and now you can’t escape.

One thing’s for certain: not all of you will come back from this holiday alive…

‘Creaking floorboards, secret passages, plaintive cries, howling winds – all the mystery and mayhem you need on a dark winter night’ Rachel Sargeant, author of The Roommates

I absolutely loved the story had me questioning at every turn and even had me with the surprising ending

a captivating tale

The problem is like the Locked Room mystery, the dwindling lists of guests at an inn or on an island as been done many times.
This author writes well, but I felt as though I have been there, done that. This may be fresh to a different audience. As a senior citizen who has been reading mysteries since Jr High School, now called Middle School, there is very little new for me to discover. I like the Abbie Frost"s writing style, the narrator is outstanding, so I would definitely recommend the book.

Slightly different take on killing of Guests theme

I really wanted to like this book based on the description. It had some good qualities of suspenseful moments, but seemed to really move along slowly. The overall plot was very busy with lots of side stories. Good characters. There were too many twists that were predictable for me. The ending was just a bit out there and not very believable. Overall it was a decent story.

Pretty good
