About this listen

Continuing the milestone 50th anniversary celebration of Star Trek - an epic new trilogy that stretches from the events of The Original Series movie The Search for Spock to The Next Generation!

The Klingon Empire stands on the precipice. In the wake of violence from the cult known as the Unsung, paranoia threatens to break Chancellor Martok's regime. Klingons increasingly call for a stronger hand to take control...one that Lord Korgh, master manipulator, is only too willing to offer.

But other forces are now in motion. Assisted by a wily agent, the empire's enemies secretly conspire to take full advantage of the situation. Aboard the USS Titan, Admiral William T. Riker realizes far more than the Federation's alliance with the Klingons is in danger. With the empire a wounded animal, it could become either an attacker - or a target.

Yet even as hostilities increase, Commander Worf returns to the USS Enterprise and Captain Jean-Luc Picard with a daring plan of his own. The preservation of both the empire and the Federation alliance may hinge on an improbable savior leading a most unlikely force....

I savored every moment. I hope there's more stories to come from this author and narrator.

action and suspense, the storytelling kept me looking forward to the next chapter. I felt like I was a Klingon witnessing the story

Narration, dead on and fun to listen as Robert P. does an outstanding job with the voices. Kaless and Warf's capture in order to tell this story works for me too. Where it is off beat with me is a dragon of a time back is awkward and changes to an Star Wars story instead of a Star Trek story in this last story. Good thing that there was not much of this magic, but it was in there and I notice it. I always enjoy it (even if there was holes in it) that they (the authors) make the science believable as possible? Which is easy since I'm easy to fool and it's easier everyday to write about as science seems to catch up. Mostly about the negative side of SciFi and health epidemics, wars and not stopping by without fighting some other life form. STNG at least makes an effort to tap in to our better side of us and say's, "let's be friends first, before we get the weapons out next".

I'm a person of 60 years and enjoy this way of getting thing's done. I think this form of entertainment is the best! Gardening is fun with a good book to listen with.

Trilogy of STNG and a Klingons history lessons.

This trilogy is the best Star Trek book series. It is on the same level as the Star Wars Thrawn Trilogy. 👍

Best Star Trek book series.

the narrator for loving star trek so much, doesn't speak with the gusto a klingon, especially old klingons, would have. That distracted me more than anything for a self proclaimed fan.

great story but

The story kept a solid pace same as the other books in the series. The characters come to life with witty banter and actions deserving of both Star Trek eras portrayed in the book. Twists and turns keep you entranced while trying to figure out what is coming next.

Enjoyable to the last minute

Wanted to finish all three books before commenting, as Spock would say: A fascinating story.

Star Trek: Prey

The Prey book series has been an amazing journey! Tying the House of Kruge to the current timeline of Star Trek novels was seamless and I have not seen Klingons written this well since the Star Trek Gorkon series. Well Done!

An amazing adventure!
