Publisher's summary

Nestled deep in Litchfield Hills, Connecticut, a 1790 farmhouse sits near the epicenter of a paranormal commotion. The family that resides there regularly encounters its own ancestors and strangers - human and nonhuman - who seemingly occupy the same physical space in our world while remaining in their own parallel worlds. When famous ghost hunters Ed and Lorraine Warren investigated, they dubbed it "Ghost Central".

Here's your chance to unlock and experience the private diary of farmhouse resident Donna Fillie. This amazing record spans five decades and recounts a parade of uncanny occurrences, including notes from old friends who insist they didn't deliver them; a grandson playing with an invisible - but very real - friend; and Donna awakening to phenomena at precisely 12:42 a.m. - an eerie correspondence to her house number, 1242.

This compelling work includes many other unexplainable details of a wide variety of phenomena that frequently occur in this otherwise normal area of Connecticut, which may also be the site of a secret military base.

im a believer

I have had two houses with in a block of each other. the first house I had someone tap on my shoulder when I was in my bathroom washing my face. nobody was there. the kitchen fan would come on by itself, my oldest son saw a little girl or the form of one once. I never felt fear from what was there. when we moved down the street to a bigger house, things went from not feeling afraid to none of us wanting to be alone in that house. it was a scary bad feeling especially upstairs. my bed room was at the end of a very long hall. lights came on by themselves, loud footsteps and just a strong menace feeling. we moved. one time I tried to tell myself it's all in my head, and I wanted to walk down that long hall to my room without turning the hall light on, I didnt make it half way when something scratched my back. I ran!! we moved shortly after that. I believe in the "after life" because I have seen and felt it.

you get more than the story of the house haunting. UFOs and big foot and Multiverse are mentioned. halfway through the book.

1st Person Paranormal Activity and More!

I am a huge fan of true paranormal stories and a big fan of Richard Estep so I was new to the more personal diary format of this book. Turns out, I'm a fan! So thankful that someone took the time to diligently document their haunted house and was able to create this book. The format allows for the reader to really identify with the protagonist and get a realistic feel for what it would be like growing up and raising a family, in an actual haunted house. I was able to feel the narrator's frustration at the haunting as she expressed what I always expected, having a haunting that makes a big mess and won't clean up after itself. lol Just a nice detail that I always wondered about.
I was caught off guard by the ending chapters changing the format entirely and address paranormal theories as an ending note, but I'm glad I kept listening as the narrator's down to earth view of the haunting made her paranormal opinion more valid and relatable. I especially like the author including the notes about the first interview with the family!
If you too are a fan of real paranormal stories, or authors like Richard Estep, give this work a try!

Worth the listen?

I am a believer in the supernatural although I never had such an experience.
I have listened to x3 of ED and Lorraine 's books. Compared to them I found this one a bit boring as it is literally just diary enteries of a woman who lived in the house. These entries got boring to listen to as most of the events were repeated. I suspected real huantings from Demons, but it turns out that these were human spirits that just wants attention, no emotional harm or trauma done to the people living in the house, I guess that is why I found the book boring.

If you want to listen to abnormal things happening that is not too scary but still strange, I'd suggest this book.

overall the performance: (monotonous ) I found myself drifting off with my own thoughts and had to go back a few times and relisten.

Extremely slow

This is just another tale of an old haunted home, was not thrilling in the least. I didn't even finish...

Like it was being read by Lilith of CHEERS.

The narrator is so mechanical in tone and delivery that it is very difficult to stay with the story.

Ok

Basically a series of stories. My own experiences are much more interesting. If this can become a book I am going to write my stories up and publish.

Haunted house

This book is literally a 30 diary of experiences that occurred in a haunted house. Its not a scary book, but if you prefer real over a stoned authors demented imagination, then you should get this book.

odd book

this was an odd listen. apparently it is broken up in sections. first you hear diary entries with a little commentary. then you hear commentary. its an easy listen because you don't have to pay particular attention. some of the speculative commentary was interesting.

All types of paranormal

Not just about a haunted house. Includes encounters with UFO and other paranormal creatures, which it could have done without.
