OK, but not much of a haunted-house story.

This audiobook held my attention, but the last quarter of the book didn't work for me. Not much of a haunted house story (the few ghosts lurking about serve a minor role in the overall tale). Voice performance on Audible was very enjoyable, although an edit is needed to remove a repeated chapter from the middle of the audio file.

Good

The gardener is tending and knowing the ghost that are around this place and they are not happy with the new owners. A good story not a lot into the ghosts, good story and narrative.

Amazing Ghost Story

This was an amazing ghost story. This was my first Hazel Holmes book. I can’t wait to read more.

Very good

In spite of the title, this is more of a cosy mystery with a bit of a supernatural vibe thrown in that a truly haunted house story, so be aware of this before begin to read it.

Nevertheless, I really enjoyed it. It has a gothic sense to it, with the enigmatic twin siblings living in the secluded mansion, its detailed description of the gardens and the gentle, protective ghosts.

A good mystery.
