About this listen

Supreme Court candidates are being murdered—and only Alex Cross and John Sampson can take the case in The House of Cross.

“[Alex Cross’s] innate nature is to protect people…If he has a weakness, it’s his family, especially his children. They’re the chink in his armor. But aside from that, it’s tough to get at him.”–Aldis Hodge, star of Cross on Prime Video

In Washington, DC, the president-elect is planning her inauguration.

The list of Supreme Court candidates is highly confidential—until it becomes evidence in Detective Alex Cross’s toughest investigation.

One candidate is gunned down. A second is stabbed. A third is murdered near midnight on a city street.

Cross is the FBI’s top expert in criminal behavior. For the sake of his family, his city, and his country, he must put himself in the most dangerous place there is: inside the mind of a diabolical killer.

Quick short chapters, kept your attention throughout the book.

I really liked the ensemble cast of narrators. You were able to really dive into the different characters. The story moved at a fast pace with short chapters, but not so fast that you would get lost. Pretty action packed storyline, no lulls in the story at all.

Grade C+

I've read better stories of Alex Cross. First time it was somewhat predictable. I will always be a fan of Alex Cross since "Along Came A Spider ". It's definitely a must read. Be interesting to see what comes next

Still a solid go to…Alexander Cross

Loved it. This book did not disappoint. I really enjoyed hearing the narrative descriptions of northern Nevada and the surrounding areas. The plot kept moving and the voice work was great. Please don’t let this be the last.

Cross in the snow

It was an unusual setting for the trio. The usual pattern of story. Scary assassinating Supreme Court justices. Seems to reflect the times. Someone trying to shift the balance of power in the USA just fictionalized.

Well Done Worth listening Time

Sometimes hard to follow location wher actions are ing place. However, mystery does keep one on edge of their seat. I say this because I never really understood how the. Mountain development was made other than an old mine shaft. Highly recommended your time to listen and read

James Patterson is a great writer. No revelation but it just can’t be said enough.

I love this series. This series does not “give anything away.” I love that. One must listen carefully and follow the story. With some books you can almost see the events of the story coming.

The House of Cross

This Alex Cross book wasn’t as good as others I’ve read. It lacked somebof the suspenseful energy and emotional connection of past novels.
