About this listen

James Patterson's blockbuster Alex Cross series has sold over 100 million copies - and now he's bringing those thrills to a new generation! Alex's son, Ali, is eager to follow in his father's footsteps as a detective, but when his best friend goes missing, what price will he have to pay to solve the mystery?

Ali Cross has always looked up to his father, former detective and FBI agent Alex Cross. While solving some of the nation's most challenging crimes, his father always kept his head and did the right thing. Can Ali have the same strength and resolve?

When Ali's best friend, Gabe, is reported missing, Ali is desperate to find him. At the same time, a string of burglaries targets his neighborhood - and even his own house. With his father on trial for a crime he didn't commit, it's up to Ali to search for clues and find his friend. But being a kid sleuth isn't easy - especially when your father warns you not to get involved! - and Ali soon learns that clues aren't always what they seem. Will his detective work lead to a break in Gabe's case or cause even more trouble for the Cross family?

It was nice to get into Ali’s life but, after finishing the last in the Alex Cross series, it was not what “I” was expecting. Good story though. Ali’s “voice” was a bit weird for me also. Get it for your teen. PG rating for sure.

More of a teen book for my taste

I know this book is geared for the younger generation but I enjoyed it just as much as the Alex Cross and the Womens Murder Club series.
looking forward to more of Young Cross junior detective in the future.

awsome beginning to a new series

I am not a pre-teen but an older adult and I found it very intriguing! This audiobook deserves 5 stars and that's what I gave it. We should never be to old to keep in touch with our inner child, that's what keeps one young! I loved it! Great Job!

I loved this audiobook!

When I began to read this book an realized that it was different in its approach than other Patterson work, I nearly made the mistake of setting it aside.
I was captured by the time I got to chapter 3 and couldn’t stop.
I heartily recommend this work and will remain a staunch Patterson supporter.

Ali Cross was traditional Patterson quality and well worth the read.

This story didn’t start out as gripping as the other Cross novels, but I kept listening bec the story had potential. As the author develops this new branch of stories, I think it could h get as good as the original Cross novels.

Enjoyable, With Room For Improvement
