Listening to this story was really enjoyable. The way the author wrote it, from how the story is organized to the interesting moments where she thinks about herself and talks about the places she goes, is really impressive. This story makes you understand that life is like a journey, and as we move through it, there are things to learn at every step. It also tells you to do what you think is important in life and not be scared to take big chances. The person reading the story did a great job, making it feel like you're actually there. It truly was a beautiful piece of writing!

This book really gave me a glimpse of a side of life that was totally foreign to me previously. Kristina put herself out there in some of the most extreme environments, out of her comfort zone and in some cases out of any humans comfort zone, to explore the edges of existence , its meaning and our roles in it. Her adventurous spirit , critical reasoning, and openness of emotion that she captured in this book is truly inspirational.

I enjoyed listening to this story. The structure of the writing to the engaging points of self-reflection and description of the places she visits is extraordinary. This story makes you realize that life is a journey and as we go through life there are lessons to be learned at every waking turn. It also highlights to do what you feel is important in life and don't be afraid to take meaningful risks. The Narration also was what this story needed to feel like you were there in real life. This was A beautiful piece of writing!

Great book! It's like a really cool travel diary. The author goes all over Africa, South America, the Amazon jungle. But it's not just about places, it's about her figuring herself out. It's not just about the sights; it's about discovering deep stuff about herself.

What an incredible audiobook, and what an incredible journey Kristina experienced! I loved getting to listen to her experiences as she went for it and traveled to places many of us will never go to meet new people, see other ways of life and grasp all life has for us! She demonstrated bravery, honored her inner feelings, and was not stopped by conventional wisdom. Her result was a life-changing adventure, and I am so happy she shared it with us; highly recommend it!

Writing about taking a year out, a year off, a year traveling or a work-slash-play sabbatical is not new but the thinking here expressed on this psychological journey is as heartfelt and honest as it gets and thats what endears the reader to Liu’s story.

Yes there’s constant new sights and background travel and travelogue driving the machine but the internal journey is heartfelt and delivered in bite
-sized pieces that make you want to ration the reading to fantasize fully about the geography while Liu delivers personal insight deep enough to draw you in to her psychological journey.

The storyline, as such, stays light and fun, and although you (nor I ) may be interested in immersing in the Amazonian jungle, (or maybe you are?) the travel climax here meets the intellectual one and its meaty enough to get one thinking about one’s own journey.

Inspirational in an unexpected way, its a warm tale of mostly warm places for some cold winters evenings. Highly recommend.
