The perfect family. A moment that will change everything.

Emma thought she had the perfect life: a beautiful home, a loving husband, and a gorgeous son.

She was wrong.

When she wakes up to find herself in hospital, Emma has no memory of how she got there or why her husband and son won’t come to see her.

What happened to Emma’s family?

Emma is desperate to find out what happened - and that her loved ones are safe - but remembering the truth could be the most dangerous thing of all....

definitely kept me on the edge of my seat! wasn't sure the prior reviews were as true as they sounded, but YES! definitely keeps you guessing as to what is to come & then hits you with a big curve ball at the end! so glad I listened to (& enjoyed) this book!!!

wow! seriously did not see that coming!!

Could of finished sooner. Narrator was boring. Story wasn’t exciting some things weren’t realistic. So your not missing anything.

Dragged on

First the narration was awful! Monotone and not engaging at all!
Next, just too many times you think.. is she (the main character) really that gullable & naive?
Last, I couldn't wait for it to be over. The character's were not believable. The plot was unrealistic and the ending was predictable.

Not That Great

narrator very monotone, no influx or feeling
the book could've ended around chapter 4. would not recommend

really struggled to finish, no plot twist/boring.

Good writing doesn’t redeem an infuriating story. Torture, sex assault, drug abuse, and a stint in an “insane asylum.” Ugh!!

Kept me up one night but left me annoyed and frustrated. Just NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

This story was dull flat and annoying with an anticlimactic ending.
Characters were cliche and I found myself not caring what happened to them. I could have written a better twist and I can’t write .

Painfully predictable

Totally unbelievable plot line - no one is that stupid and has the too stilted and proper conversations when their families lives are threatened !
I knew who it was from the start. Do not waste money on this , the delivery was almost painful to listen to,and I had no sympathy for the family as the choices that made in dealing with these “threats” were unbelievable .

Waste of time

I think the storyline moved too slow. I figured out what was going to happen too early in the book. But I kept telling myself that there had to be something else to the book. As it turns out, there wasn’t much else though. I may ask for a refund on this one.

Took some energy to finish this book

the story really made no sense. the narrator sounded like she was in a tin room. I finished the book but don't know why. read two others in between. the main character was a pain and close to stupid

The story was good, with a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. However the dialogue was hokey, and the narrator must not be from the US because she had some weird pronunciations. For example, “progress” was proe-gress and “been” was bean. It’s distracting to keep hearing “ How have you bean?”

Narrator was also terrible at voices, but I’m not sure if that’s her fault or if it’s because of the stupid dialogue.

I won’t read anything else by this author.

Terrible dialogue
