Jackson Lamb is as sharp witted as ever! Slightly disappointed that River Cartwright only appears towards the end as a driver for Jackson.

A short, but very interesting and entertaining read! Just adding to the world of Slough House

A good story

Mick Herron as author and Gerard Doyle as narrator make this segment of the Slough House narrative a winning combination. Herron’s sly and witty characters are best enjoyed by those readers who have read Slough House. Gerard Doyle enhances the novella experience so much that I’d hate to be without his voice in my head! Highly recommended.

Excellent story and narration

definitely has the qualities and foundation of a much longer tale, but ends leaving the reader to complete the narrative. I also have to mention that the continuing character development is great. I don’t think I have ever run across a curmudgeon quite like jackson lamb.

great short story

very short, but as usual, great storytelling, and great narration. Knowing it was that short, I might have skipped it and gone onto the next in the series.

Jackson Lamb figures it all out and outsmarts everyone! A great story, Lady Di gets outwitted again.

Great story!

Neat little novella. Easy listen. Simple plot with a well laid out twist. A bit cleaner than the Slough House series but you still get peeps at Lamb, Taverner, and a couple current or soon to be slow horses.

Neat spy novella.

as a fan of the slough house series, this filled an important gap for me. my only complaint is that I wish it was a lot longer

entire novel crammed into a short story
