About this listen

I've traveled twenty-two years into the past to change the future and prevent the nightmare awaiting planet Earth. I've started altering the course of events in the present radically, creating every possible advantage for myself and my family. I need power and influence to save Earth from destruction.

I have already succeeded in a few ways. I've built my own team in the Primordial World and obtained the powerful ability I sought. My grandfather and mother have stockpiled prodigious amounts of liquid helium-3, which will help them solidify their power in the future.

But I've just received distressing news from home. There was a massacre at our residence. My father has been killed, along with all our servants. In my previous life, he didn't die this early. In this one, his death was a direct result of my actions.

And now I can't help wondering what further consequences my interference might have.

Book 2 followed a somewhat predictable progression path for the MC and his syndicate. He continued to have complicated interactions between his immediate family and their Asian faction. While there was a lot of different episodes of action involved, the actual story plot arc hadn't moved much until near the end of the book.

I'm unsure if I will continue the series.

James R. Cheatham performance was still very good.

Worth the credit

this guy came from the future, and made literally every mistake he possibly could.

every single fight he's ever been a part of he gets injured, loses a limb, almost dies, or just passes out.

every single fight.

what's the point of having a character come back from the future if he's not at least a little overpowered? sure, he supposedly has skills, but it's hard to really see any of that.

he was a strategist I guess in his old life, but I find it incredibly hard to see that. none of his actions really feel thought out, nor do any of his real mistakes feel like somebody a smart person would make.

and his weird obsession with Adele. it's so pathetic.

I've been struggling to continue, I barely even made it to the first book. I've had to stop and take a break from my annoyance at least five times so far but now I finally hit the limit of my patience. I had to give up on this thing halfway through.

Good luck to anybody who tries to listen to this.

MC is pathetic.
