About this listen

The Ophelia Prophecy is the thrilling new sci-fi romance from the author of 2013 RWA RITA finalist Ghost Planet....

Our world is no longer our own. We engineered a race of superior fighters - the Manti, mutant humans with insect-like abilities. Twenty-five years ago they all but destroyed us.

In Sanctuary, some of us survive. Eking out our existence. Clinging to the past. Some of us intend to do more than survive.

Asha and Pax - strangers and enemies - find themselves stranded together on the border of the last human city, neither with a memory of how they got there.

Asha is an archivist working to preserve humanity's most valuable resource - information - viewed as the only means of resurrecting their society. Pax is Manti, his Scarab ship a menacing presence in the skies over Sanctuary, keeping the last dregs of humanity in check.

Neither of them is really what they seem, and what humanity believes about the Manti is a lie.With their hearts and fates on a collision course, they must unlock each other's secrets and forge a bond of trust before a rekindled conflict pushes their two races into repeating the mistakes of the past.

IMAGINATION AT IT'S BEST

I can't wait to see what Sharon Lynn Fisher has in store for her next book. The Ophelia Prophecy was put together so well that I was surprised constantly. She gave insight and depth to all the characters in the off world she created. Her books even show the political & personal agendas of the characters that are believable even though her characters are truly ALIEN to the reader. This book, like the first one, would be great as a series because I was invested in the support characters as much as I was in the main ones. The only thing I can complain about is she isn't cranking them out fast enough for my listening enjoyment.

The narrator did a great job [much better than the first book's narrator] & I hope they keep this one for any follow up books. I did see that Fisher has another book due out in 2015 & hope the audio is released at the same time the print is released.

This is one author that I will be watching for releases from because the books are imaginative, exciting and worth losing sleep over.

Superb!

I rarely write reviews. I am compelled to comment on this authors prowess.
As a 56 year old male, I appreciate and enjoy a light surrogate emotion from romance novels. Apart from the romance, this story has a great plot. The two blend very well. The narrator brings it to life nicely. Not an easy job. The ending is perfect!
Lately, a story has never given me the physical responses I got as the plot reached several romantic climaxes; in a row... I'm talking shuddering chills running up and down my spine and a tingling tightness in my chest and abdomen. The scenes are so tastefully and emotionally presented as to be superb! That's the most elegant word I can think of to convey the memories and emotions it dredged out of me.
Romance novels just don't do that to me - generally.
That, the wonderful plot and the presentation is what drove me to comment.
My thanks to all involved and;
Very, very well done!
