Publisher's summary

A deadly black widow has eliminated three husbands and counting. But Nameless knows her one weakness. To bring truth and its consequences to her crimes, the vigilante must spin a web of his own in part three of the Nameless series.

Lucia - current last name, Rickenbah - has made a fortune by marrying rich men who tend to drop dead. But the superstitious blonde believes in more than money and murder. Nameless’s job is to scare a confession out of Lucia, and as the psychological warfare escalates, even he may be in for a shock.

From number one New York Times best-selling author Dean Koontz comes The Praying Mantis Bride, part three of Nameless, a riveting collection of short stories about a vigilante nomad, stripped of his memories and commissioned to kill. Follow him in each story, which can be listened to in a single sitting.

Child of the 60's

Who cut her "scare me with my own mind " teeth on Hitchcock, Twilight Zone, Night Gallery....... is addicted to Nameless!

Thank you Mr. Koontz for writing words that Edoardo Ballerini reads with such crisp intensity, he sends tingles up my spine, makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up, gives me goose flesh and feel such a chill in the air in a room that is 79 degrees in ambient temp, that I shiver.

If you are someone who enjoys an author who can really get inside your head, tweak the parts of your own mind that scare you with your own twisted thoughts when lost in a story line, then you are probably already a Koontz fan.

With Nameless, Koontz pokes at that part of us, that deep, dark part that despises injustice and thinks evil should be met with evil 10 fold for justice to be extracted.

There's some very black in my soul, that is lapping up every single minute, savoring every word of Nameless and his invisible posse on their mission to right wrongs.

Perfect Title!!!!

I am loving this series. I love the fact that there is just enough information for you to know what is going on and the author allows you to fill it in how you want but when the crap hits the fan - it clear concise and to the point.

This particular story had me in stitches when the mother talked about her and then at the end cause Karma ate her behind up. Be careful what you do..it comes back 30x what you give.

Good short story

Sometimes I don’t have time to listen to books that go on for hours. I enjoyed this short story. It had a great story line and I found this book as good as Dean’s longer books.

My favorite in the series so far

From the beginning, I enjoyed this book the most of any in this series so far. Specifically, the writing seems a step up from the previous entries. My only gripe is the ending - just seemed to come out of left field in comparison with the rest of the story and the previous stories in this series. Seemed that the author didn't know how to end the story without signifantly increasing the length, so he just threw something in there. Still an enjoyable story overall though.

Entertaining

Not a believer in superstitions, so this story was more fun entertainment. Good plot.

This 3rd Story not Quite as Engaging

This is the 3rd story in the series. I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first two, but it was ok. At this point, the history and identity of Nameless is still a mystery as is the identity and motivation of Ace of Diamonds.

The narrator, Edoardo Ballerini, is superb!
