About this listen

The Foxes are a fractured mess, but their latest disaster might be the miracle they've always needed to come together as a team. The one person standing in their way is Andrew, and the only one who can break through his personal barriers is Neil.

Except Andrew doesn't give up anything for free, and Neil is terrible at trusting anyone but himself. The two don't have much time to come to terms with their situation before outside forces start tearing them apart. Riko is intent on destroying Neil's fragile new life, and the Foxes have just become collateral damage.

Neil's days are numbered, but he's learning the hard way to go down fighting for what he believes in, and Neil believes in Andrew even if Andrew won't believe in himself.

This is my ninth time going through this series and my god it’s bad but I love it. My favorite piece of garbage for sure

Wicked2

Very unsettling read, but most definitely worthwhile. Great storyline with plots and twists throughout the entire book.

A great book but goodness

It was an amazing story but this was so much more harsh than the first book. He said No not I’m fine and that is so important.

This is my favorite series.

The narrating is fantastic! The story is beautiful. Out of the three books in this series, this second one is probably my favorite. Watching Neil find peace in his family is breathtaking. I love it so much! This review was written on my 4th reread, I'm a total sucker for troubled people learning to trust and love. I'm having such a blast rereading!

So many emotions

It should be mentioned that there are triggers in this book including rape and torture.
This was a "reread" for me. I wanted to listen to it for a change and honestly, I didn't hate it. . .but I also didn't love the performance. I love the book so much and I'll always love it, but the narrator is only okay. I can't really be mad about it because my biggest issues are the female voices, and that's not something simple. I'll be listening to The King's Men so that I can cry some more and maybe this time I'll be able to ignore the female voices lol

Excellent story. Excellent narration.

I couldn't stop thinking about this book. I adored the first one. This one is even better. I suspect that this is going to be the "Empire Strikes Back" of the series. You can't appreciate it without the other books, but this is insanely action packed and tension filled.

We start to get a better understanding of certain character's motivations, in particular, Andrew. Things go from bad to really bad, but no one is backing down. I am listening to the next book immediately!

Sophmore book even better

Things heat up intensely in this book, especially for Neil and Andrew, and I’m not talking about romance! My heart breaks for Andrew and his situation. He is seriously messed up. I’m desperate to find out what happened to him in the past. And Neil. Still running from his past. But it catches up to him. More plot twists, and that ending! Cliffy much?? But it was a unique way of handling a cliff hanger. On to book 3, when it comes out in a couple weeks.

One of my Favorites

I've re-read this series more times than I can count. I'm obsessed with the characters and the desperate hope that clings to each page. The hope for healing. The hope for a found family. Even through the darkest of battles and trauma.
