About this listen

As the battered earth reels under judgments from heaven, Global Community leader Nicolae Carpathia tightens the screws on anyone who refuses to proclaim total allegiance to him. He has a million of his enemies just where he wants them: massed at Petra and within striking distance of devastating firepower. Meanwhile, the Tribulation Force is compromised, forcing Rayford Steele, Buck Williams, and the others to run for their lives.

This tenth novel in the best-selling series of all time sends the world hurtling toward Armageddon, the apocalyptic battle between good and evil.

How do you say “Zion?”

The narrator on the previous two books almost ruined the series, however we now have returned to the much better narrator/reader. With one MAJOR exception. The reader of the previous two books pronounced Zion, “ZEE OHN”….WHAT? NOW, the current reader is pronouncing it ZEE OHN. COME ON!
The first seven books it was pronounced properly. I don’t mind a mispronounced word every now and then. But to mangle a name is frustrating.

Narrators

As many others noted the last few books had a different narrator. I have heard this reader before. He read The Green Mile and did a magnificent job. Everything I’ve ever heard him in was wonderful, except these books. He just didn’t get in the jive. I know he’s won many awards for his narrating but in my opinion for some reason he was way off.

Near raider

Near ration is much better than with Frank Muhler. I am not sure why they changed near Raiders for two of the books but in my opinion Richard ferrone does a better job of voices.

If only he would pronounce the name correctly….

Richard Ferrone >>>> Frank Muller.

That said, why are they calling Tzion Tze-own? Makes it sound like he is ze French… all in all, great story and I can actually differentiate between characters in this iteration.

Another great book

The saga continues & you never know what they will do next. So many plot twists & changes it’s hard to guess what will happen next.

A continuation of the series

Would you listen to The Remnant again? Why?

No, because it is the next step in the series. I do plan on reading Book 11 though.

Which scene was your favorite?

The protection of the saints at Petra was pretty awesome.

If you could take any character from The Remnant out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Chang, because he's juggling so many balls and seemingly not missing a beat.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoy Zion's biblical teachings the best.
