About this listen

When Andi Edwards discovers her husband Spencer isn’t where he’s supposed to be and isn’t answering her calls or texts, a flurry of scenarios races through her mind.

Is he hurt?

Is he cheating?

Is he dead?

The truth, she soon finds out, is so much worse than she could’ve imagined.

As she struggles to make sense of her new and chilling reality, she must decide whether to stand by the man she loves and help protect him or walk away and let him pay for his sins.

With time running out, the secret he has locked in their basement becomes more dangerous, and the spine-chilling truth becomes clear: if she makes the wrong decision, she stands to lose much more than her marriage.

When their best laid plans come back to haunt them, what will Spencer and Andi be willing to sacrifice to survive?

I enjoyed this book a lot but didn't love the male narrator. He seemed too loud and unbelievable. I still enjoyed the book and gave the performance 4 stars as I liked the females.

I like how it is pretty much fast paced from start to finish. It made it a quick and enjoyable read for me.

This is what I call an all in 1 night. When I started listening to this book I listened to it all at once. Absolutely loved it. I was surprised by the twist. If you enjoy her other books I suggest this listen.

Loved it!!

Have read a bad book of hers yet. Keep on writing you’ve found your calling.

Love a great book

How many lies does it take to cover the biggest lie? A lot happens in a day for Spencer and Andi and the twists keep coming up to the very end. It’s a quick listen with a satisfying ending!

Narration was really good by Natalie Naudus and Jesse Vilinsky, I just couldn’t connect Scott Brick with Spencer though.

Great Twisted Story

You knew who the bad guy was within the first couple of paragraphs of the book due to his actions. the wife's internal monologue was paranoid schizophrenic but her character was not supposed to be that way. Some of the things that the wife thought or said about SA sounded like it came out of the mouth of a right-wing anti-feminist nut job. To quote the women in my book club "no woman thinks that way". Very simple example the wife is freaked out and nervous because her husband is home early from work. Yet she says she trusts him unconditionally. Which is it?

The book has the makings of a decent story, it's just not there.

dumb characters, short story.

Not a believable story. Didn’t like male voice or characters. I don’t think it was worth the time even though it went fast.

Agree with so so
