About this listen

When the Romanov Empire was dismantled in flame and firing squad, one name rose to heights above all the rest: Anastasia. During the final years of her family's rule, the near omnipresence of one charlatan drove rumors to a feverish height. Rasputin. But what if the magic wasn't his...but hers?

Fans of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, Deborah Harkness's All Souls trilogy, fantasy, historical fiction, and romance will enjoy this stand-alone fantasy novel. Anastasia Romanova carried Romanov blood, full of magic, once depleted and diminished throughout her family tree over the years. But when it shows up in her as strong as her ancestors, an incident in her childhood forces her family to attempt to drain the magic out of her. The burden grows as her powers become too strong to control, leading Anastasia to try and fight fire with fire…but there’s always a price for magic.

The enigmatic servant boy who was witness to her very first spell is forced by her family’s advisors to assume the priesthood. He becomes the scapegoat for Anastasia’s magic, taking on the moniker Rasputin.

There’s only one thing the dvoryanstvo and her family never expected. The magic is real and so is the relationship between Rasputin and Anastasia, who are determined to see her powers unleashed. Even if that means everything else burns.

The Romanov Oracle is an adult fantasy romance that contains graphic violence, swearing, and sex scenes.

Loved it!

First I will say I'm horrible at writing book reviews but here goes nothing.

I personally follow Molly on IG and I watch her stories daily!! Yes daily. She is great! Good morning babies! I started following her during the time she was starting to write this book. I was solely an audiobook person so when she updated us a year or so later and told us she was doing audible I was SO EXCITED!!

I have only been listening to fiction for about 1.5 years and without a doubt this is my favorite enemies to lovers story to date. I absolutely loved the smut and some of it came at times where I didn't see it coming. There was one time that I was like oh yes! PERECT TIMING!! I loved the dynamic between the two characters and how Anastasia grew though out the book by finding herself. The narrator did a good job as well. It took me some warming up to her Rasputin mother's voice, but other than that is was great!

horrible

THIS was inspired by a "love of history"? more like inspired by daddy issues. Tsar Nicholas as a villain who abused his daughter? really, Molly????

This book is nothing but trash. It isn't even well written, the pacing is horrible, the vocabulary limited and repetitive. the characters' motivations paper thin. There are fanfics written by 17 year olds better than this. I wish I could get my credit back.

Gimme all the tropes!

This was a fun one! I felt like the narrator did a great job, the story was well written and it had ALL the good tropes! Enemies to lovers? Check. One bed? Check. “Who did this to you?” CHECK. Add in some nice spice and you got yourself a winner.
