Hard topic, great book!
This book is such a good resource not only for those who have been sexually shamed but also for those who need to strengthen their pelvic floor. The fact that the author is a yoga instructor and nurse herself helps provide the compassion needed and the expertise to make this happen. The focus on body shaming was not overwhelming in the book, but it served as a confidence booster for women who wanted to take control of their bodies. The narrator was appropriate, and I love the extra PDF accompanying the book. I will recommend this to other women in the same boat as me!

The Roots of Pelvic Floor Yoga is an empowering and insightful guide that every woman should listen to. This is a book that has helped me heal myself of a lot of shame and baggage. Really great, eye-opening info at the beginning of the book. I especially appreciated how it started with some topics that aren’t talked about much but should be – and with a great overview of pelvic floor anatomy. The yoga poses are gentle but effective. If you want to reconnect with yourself, or restore more of your solar plexus energy, this book might help you get there. It’s holistic and uplifting for body and soul.
