About this listen

A runaway bride. Her handsome getaway driver. A cozy town with a cast of animated citizens to help her figure it all out in this romantic comdedy.

Noelle’s getting married three days before Christmas. It’s a dream come true—for her mom. For Noelle, it’s starting to feel like the walls are closing in. She’s known for months that something’s changing—namely, her fiancé. He’s becoming someone she doesn’t know anymore. She’s tried to ignore it, but her gut’s telling her that she’s marrying the wrong person.

Nash retired from the military three months ago. He’s not in the mood to celebrate anything. He just wants to be left alone. His high school buddy’s getting married in a few days. He has no desire to go, but every time he tries to throw the invitation out, an alarm goes off in his head. For some reason, he feels like he’s supposed to be there.

It’s 30 minutes before the wedding starts. Noelle’s in her wedding dress. Nash is in his seat. The universe is trying to bring these two strangers together. Is it ever too late to meet the man of your dreams?

Heartwarming Story!!

I had already read and loved this book earlier in the year, but the audio narration made it even better. Nash’s voice was absolutely perfect. I couldn’t imagine a better fit for his character. This story is so sweet and the whole Blitzen Bay crew is so lovable, from Hank and Claire at the Inn to Izzy and Gabi at the bar.

My favorite quote was from Sam (Santa!!!): “You deserve someone who not only encourages you to shine but also loves basking in your glow.”

This audio book is perfect for anyone who loves a story of growth, community, love, and a sprinkle of holiday cheer!

Great Story

I initially fell in love with Nash and Noelle when I read this book. This recording was a perfect way to relive their story. The narrators make the story come alive. Once again Donna does not disappoint.

Wonderful - time well spent!

This is a fantastic listen of a ingeniously crafted story by Donna Schwartze encompassing the excitement of love at first sight with the reality of it arguably happening at the worst possible moment. Stella Hunter and Robert Hatchett matched the chemistry of the well developed characters with their performance of the story. Their emotion, timing, and delivery definitely added to the fun plot. Don’t miss this listen!

A great read for cuddling up in a blanket on a cold day

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 This was just as cute the 2nd time around…I originally read the book, but decided to give the audio version a try. A great book for cuddling up with a blanket on a cold day to read, since it’s set in December. Blitzen Bay sounds like a dream vacation spot with its small town vibes and the great characters that live there. I wish we got a little more of Elle and Nash’s story, but they were cute together even if their relationship started off quickly. This one left me wanting to read even more about everyone in Blitzen Bay, especially Kit, since I know we’ll hear more about Elle and Nash in her story.

Sweet & romantic with terrific performances!

Runaway Bride of Blitzen Bay was a great escape! Noelle and Nash are meant to be, even though they meet under pretty bad circumstances. Nash is adorably sweet and genuine and really brings out the best in Noelle and allows her to open up and own her awesomeness. This story is sweet and romantic.

Stella Hunter is a 1-click narrator for me, so I knew I would enjoy it. As always, she was wonderful and really brought the characters to life. Every breath, every inflection is perfect! Robert Hatchet is new to me, but I really enjoyed his performance. Within a few chapters I knew he would be a new favorite and I added him to my #faveylist. Loved it!

I LOVED this!!! So funny!!

OMG ILoVE this story!! The characters! The Story!
Those Townsfolk! LOVE them All! I laughed and smiled all the time while listening to this! I did not want this story to end it was so enjoyable. This has cute movie references to one of my favorite movies. The author did an outstanding job with all the holiday references!
All the characters are super! Kate is my favorite and I would love to be her friend. In fact if I could move to this town...all the better. Her cousin Kit is a real "Ride or Die" friend and again..can she be my friend? The townsfolk all I can say is how creative!
I listened to this on audio. Stella Hunter and Robert Hatchet did a lovely job and enhanced an already wonderful holiday story.
I need more of this town and its people!

Fun holiday story with fantastic narration

Updated 10/24/22 - audiobook review added
It was wonderful to come back and listen to this story as an audiobook. I love audiobooks because they bring a whole new dynamic to the story. Stella Hunter and Robert Hatchet were the PERFECT voices for these characters. They brought perfection emotion and depth to each one. Stella’s voice for Elle is so sweet, yet strong and determined. While Robert’s deep, raspy voice was fantastic for Nash.

Congratulations to Donna on her first audiobook!!!

I received a complimentary audio copy and I’m leaving my honest review.

This was a fun read…made me smile, laugh and I fell in love with these two characters.

Elle makes a snap decision (well..there was a lot leading up to the decision) that takes her on a journey of self discovery. Blitzen Bay is the perfect place for her to think.

Nash - we all need a Nash in our life! He is at the right place at the right time and provides Elle assistance on her new journey.

The additional characters living in Blitzen Bay are fabulous, warm and provide great support to Nash and Elle.

This is a lovely, heartwarming story that will make you want to go sledding and drink some peppermint hot chocolate!
