About this listen

True power awakens....

Grand Magus Yuri Drewes has risen from his coma, and he wants to teach Sei how to wield her magic. Just one problem: Yuri definitely suspects Sei's the Saint, but Sei's not ready to be outed. Even worse, under Yuri's tutelage, Sei's power continues to grow, and her true strength may soon be impossible to conceal.

The story is a continuation of the first volume, and it picks off of Sei going to get her status read and from there it's a story about her trying to figure out how to be a saint and how to use her magic. I won't give too much of the plot away it's more of the same and it's very enjoyable I managed to listen to the whole book in one day I just couldn't stop. The narration is great same as the first volume I really hope they keep the narrator through the rest of the series.

If you enjoyed book one you'll love this one as we

More story than just the anime, I like that. I could close my eyes and be immersed in the world.

It was relaxing and enjoyable

I love this light series. Our protagonist is committed to the things she wants and is willing to adapt. Sei is likable, consistent and kind. The romance is wholesome, but progressing at a snail’s pace. This series would be appropriate for all ages IMO

I really enjoyed this second volume and Sei’s interaction with Grand Magus Yuri. It’s fun to hear how geeky his character is. I also like reading more of the small interactions between characters that couldn’t be conveyed as easily in the anime.

The only complaint I had for the book was the inaccurate information on corsets. As someone who has actually researched and a wearer of them myself, it’s sad to see the misinformation about them perpetuated. The ‘tiny waist’ from corsets were actually an illusion created by padding out the bust and hips, making the waist look smaller by comparison. If people actually wore them how they were made to be worn then there would be far less people complaining about them.

Another fun volume of the story.

The story is great. Except for one problem they didn't do any research on corsets. Because corsets did not make so you could not breathe. You could breath just fine and those fainting stories we're all made up by men in books for THERE entertainment.

Still need them to do research 🙄

The narrator has done an amazing job but the story feels like I'm listening someone play a dating Sims game but other than that it's actually a decent story.
