Seriously, everyone needs to read this...
I used to take an ice bath after college vb practice regularly but since those days are long gone, I hadn't really thought about incorporating that into my normal routine until recently. I watched a documentary with Chris Hemsworth that dove into the benefits of exposing our bodies to extreme temperatures. There are so many benefits from sitting in a sauna and submerging yourself in ice water. This book took some of that info a step further. It debunked misconceptions about cold plunges making you prone to sickness and gave a broader approach to wellness.
The book also offered practical advice, including DIY instructions for building your own sauna and cold plunge instead of spending thousands of dollars on the ones that are all over social media right now. I also appreciated all the information about how to stay safe when using a sauna or cold plunge. I know many of us envision sitting in saunas for hours to relax, but there really is a science to getting the most benefit out of it.
Before you spend a ton of $ on a sauna or cold tub, listen to this book. And if you've never experienced either, give this book a listen and then go do a polar bear plunge.

Learned a lot
I’ve heard a lot about cold plunging and saunas but never really looked into it. After listening the benefits you see from these experiences are amazing. The author did a great job at clearly explaining the benefits and I will definitely be using these methods.

Very Informative
I'm incredibly grateful for this audiobook. While I've heard of contrast therapy before, I never fully understood its benefits until now. The author's detailed explanation shed light on how this therapy can aid in recovery from injuries, and I appreciate the thorough exploration of its additional advantages. Learning about the positive effects on both physical and mental health, such as improved blood flow and potential benefits for heart disease, particularly resonated with me after a recent heart attack. I'm eager to discuss incorporating these therapies with my doctor. The book also highlighted benefits like pain and inflammation reduction and detoxification, which are incredibly appealing. While the recommendations for building or buying a sauna were intriguing, I think I'll stick with my gym routine for now. Overall, this audiobook has opened my eyes to the potential of contrast therapy, and I'm excited to explore its benefits further.

Cold Plunge or Hot Spritz-This One Has it All!
I'm a sauna guy myself, but I've never really thought about building one myself. Nor have I seriously considered the "cold plunge" (something that I've seen as a novelty). "The Sauna and Cold Plunge Experience" has me questioning all that. Now, I'm seriously considering building my own sauna and maybe even a small cold plunge pool to boot! The author does a great job explaining the science behind both therapies and what the benefits are for the human body (which, incidentally, include both physical and mental positives). If you're considering buying a sauna or plunge pool, the audiobook includes tips for what to look for in good ones and what to be on the lookout for in sub-par rooms. Overall, a well-written and nicely narrated audiobook.
