About this listen

He knows how to score, on and off the ice.

Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn't have the first clue about what she's going to do after college. To make matters worse, she's nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di-Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won't include the king of one-night stands.

It'll take more than flashy moves to win her over.

Dean always gets what he wants. Girls, grades, girls, recognition, girls; he's a ladies man, all right, and he's yet to meet a woman who's immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world - and now she wants to be friends? Nope. It's not over until he says it's over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it's time to stop focusing on scoring, and shoot for love.

A Perfect Score

The combination of a great new adult love story and a new narration team makes this the perfect score. I've really enjoyed the series so far, I think they keep getting better with each one.

Elle Kennedy does not disappoint!

WHAT I LIKED:
- Savannah Peachwood's and Andrew Eiden's voices! Great combo!
- There were some really funny scenes that had me laughing out loud!!
- Dean with the kids... swoon-worthy, let me tell you!

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
- The drama at the end became too much for me. It's okay to let the main characters suffer a bit and Dean had to go through tough times to become the right man for Allie but everything kept stacking up so it was really exhausting for me to get through.

typical romance!

The narrators were great. The story was good. This is the third in the series and I enjoy it, but it is very cliche romance. Nothing too shocking or crazy. I might just be being hard on it because I’ve listened back to back so I need some adventure. Overall a good listen.

Not my fave but still good

This was probably my least favorite of this series but it was still a solid 4 star. There were times I loved Dean and times he annoyed the hell out of me making Allie the reason I really loved this book. She was strong, fierce and I just really enjoyed

I’m giving it a 5 because

Dean and Allie are my favorite couple in the series, I’m currently re reading all of them, so I can say this with confidence.

The narrators I think are way better than the previous ones which made it easier to listen to. The characters showed real growth, and even if it wasn’t what anyone else expected to happen in the series, I couldn’t pick a better couple.

The hurricanes are the sweetest little things to add to the series and how they change deans life. Allie and her dads relationship is just so relatable. Over all worth the read, and re read.

Fun story.Didn't love the female narrator.

Would you listen to The Score again? Why?

I read the book and loved it, but didn't enjoy the audiobook as much. Andrew Eiden was fantastic, but I didn't love the way Savannah Peachwood portrayed Ally. She spoke too slowly and I felt like she was reading the story rather than acting the character.

What did you like best about this story?

Definitely Dean's POV and some of the laugh out loud quotes from him.

What about Savannah Peachwood and Andrew Eiden ’s performance did you like?

I thought Andrew was fantastic (Is it just me or does he sound an awful lot like Teddy Hamilton from Him, Us and Keepsake?) He was terrific in this, as always. He brought so much humor and personality to the character of Dean. Savannah Peachwood just didn't do it for me as Ally. I almost stopped listening because of her a few times, but Dean's POV (and Andrew Eiden's voice) kept me going.
