Publisher's summary

From number-one New York Times best-selling author Lauren Blakely comes a second-chance romance that'll make your heart feel good! Performed by Zachary Webber and Emma Wilder!

I have a big plan for my career and it most certainly doesn’t involve my ex. AKA my first love.

It definitely doesn’t entail working with him every day on a brand-new project for my jewelry line.

And it absolutely doesn’t include falling for the man all over again.

But the trouble is, he’s kind, charming, and so damn smart. Not to mention easy on the eyes. And thoughtful, too.

Also, he wants to get to know me again. To take me out for coffee, to chat on the phone, to go to museums.

It’s a dizzying, delicious courtship, but I don’t know if my heart can handle this from the man who broke it to pieces once upon a time....

Or am I willing to risk everything for a second chance at first love?

Author’s Note: The Second Chance Plan was previously titled Caught Up in Us (which is no longer available). The Second Chance Plan is a fresh new take on that second chance romance, with a reimagined plot and vastly expanded characterizations. This new version with brand-new narration contains more than 65% new material. I hope you enjoy this new edition of my first romance novel!

I love second chance romance! This book is heartwarming, sweet, sexy and funny all in one.
I read the original version of this book and have to say the re-imagined version was much smoother and was easy to get lost in. Kat & Bryan had chemistry and from the very beginning you could feel their connection even all these years later. I love the past and present scenes so you get to know them then and now also. The ending was a perfect HEA <3 Really enjoyed this one!

Narration was perfect because Zachary Webber & Emma Wilder are great at what they do!

Sweet romance

This was a thoroughly enjoyable story, with old heartache battling with a torch that was never extinguished. The heroine’s personal growth was a delightful journey, navigating school, life lessons, and the challenges of being in love. The love scene contained just enough sauciness with an appropriate amount of sweetness.

I did not read the original version, but revision was well-done!

Very good book and performance

Very good performance. The story was a little dated but still very good. I enjoy all of her books but I really enjoy her most recent book story lines and audible performances.

Worth it

I don't normally like 2nd chance romances, but took a chance on this one. It was great. Not too much focus on the past while giving you the backstory and keeping your interest in the present day. Sometimes the regular time jumps between POVs can be distracting or confusing, but in this story it all worked to build to the climax.

Really enjoyed it. Hope others will, too!

Good Storyline, Narration a Bust

I enjoyed the development of the storyline, but Emma Wilder was the wrong choice for the female narrator, her voice is way too breathy- and never have her do a love scene - she missed the mark repeatedly.

Zachary Webber was great, but had limited text; he could have been allotted much more reading for my enjoyment.

There were a few times when Webber jumped in unexpectedly as Brian’s voice, when most of the time, Emma Wilder did an unpleasant delivery of the male voice. I’d prefer one or the other deliveries throughout.

The descriptions of the various locales were fabulous; they put you in Mystic, NYC, and Paris.

I loved this book the second time around too!

I really enjoyed the updates in this book. I read it initially in its old format and loved it then. But I think I liked this version better. And this time around, I listened to the audiobook, which both Emma and Zachary narrated fabulously! Great narrators can just bring that extra emotion and “wow” to a book. And these two did. When you have two of the best in the biz narrate a Lauren Blakely book, you know it’s gonna be a winner! Loved it!!

Second Chances

Cat is finishing up her MBA and ready to grow her business so she can help her parents out financially. Brian is a successful business man volunteering his time to the MBA program Cat is taking. Brian knows Cat, knows her well in fact so this creates multi problems for both of them but sometimes the goddess of love throws us together in these awkward situations just to prove her point, some people are just meant to be.

This was such a sweet love story that had to heal past hurts and get to the other side. I loved listening to Cat and Brian's story.

Zachary Webber and Emma Wilder are perfect for Cat and Brian. Loved their voices and timing of the story.

I loved this audiobook and highly recommend it.

Slow and sweet

Bit of a slower burn and sweet rather than steamy compared to the typical LB book. Full of clichés but comfortingly familiar nonetheless. Good narration except for the French parts.

lovable!

the emotions and honesty is so relatable, I teared up, I laughed, I rooted them on. The best friend was perfect! I loved the self sacrificing that they both did for one another. if only all love stories could be like this. I love that he was honest with her at the end and apologized for breaking her heart when he should have just told her he loved her too but didn't want to hold her back. Men seem to always think taking women's choice away is the better option for some reason.
