Worst Narration Ever for such a Great Book

I am in utter disbelief that they are saying the audio was "upgraded" in 2021. The audio for this book sounds like it was recorded in someone's closet in the 1980's and then digitized recently. And the narrator kinda sucks. I mean, there is NO pause at appropriate times like when starting a new section or stating the title of the new section. It all just runs together like someone with no training is literally just opening the book and reading it for the first time. Such a disappointment because the info in the book is EXCELLENT but it's much harder to listen and absorb when the narration is this bad. I don't know if there is any other version out there, but this is the only one I could find on audible and it's bad. I can't say "don't buy it" because the book and the method and principles are great. I just wish they'd hire someone with good narration talent to re-record it.

I Love The Sedona Method

The book is amazing. Lester and he’ll do an wonderful job, this book can help everyone who reads it, and is open to it. The only 2 things I can think to comment on for the Audible version of the book is the narrator and quality of the recording. I wish Hale Dwoskin was able to read and narrate the audiobook. The quality of the audiobook is unfortunately not very good, there are parts of the audiobook where it sounds like it’s being recorded in a closet and it’s disruptive for the audio quality to go back-and-forth from feeling like it’s being recorded in a studio to not being professionally recorded. It would be wonderful if they could go back and professionally re-record the audio book with Hale. This is a book I will read over and over again over the course of my life, and I am glad I own the paper and digital versions.

Better in print

I regret buying the audio version. Would be more useful had I bought the book, as there’s much introspection instruction that requires pausing and rewinding that’d just be easier to accomplish with the reference material right in front of you. And you’ll want to dog ear some pages to refer back to over and over which you can’t do with the audio version. She also reads the text and then reads the tables or charts without any indication that she’s reading a chart, so it all just combines into a hard-to-follow mess. I’m currently on Chapter 7 and it is a great example of this. The result is the subject matter becomes more confusing than it ought to be. Would have also preferred to hear Hale reading—having heard his voice elsewhere, there’s just something off in having a female voice reading his teachings I’m having to reconcile. It feels like you’re getting secondhand instruction rather than from the source. I guess I need to release on that.

Most concrete and impactful self help ever

The Method is really powerful and easy to apply. The book covers many important aspects of a person’s life. My only complaint is the reading. I find the voice unpleasant and hurried. It helps to listen at 80% speed, but I would love an alternative reader.

Repeat!

There are many instances where the reader repeats sentences and multiple sentences. I have never encountered this on audible before. It is very distracting.

Wonderful practices

The message and advice in this book is 5 stars but the performance of the audio production needs improvement. You’ll have to practice letting go of wanting to change the obvious production mistakes and tin can sound of the narrator. Lol
But it’s still worth getting because the advice in this book is the “how to” you’ve been searching for. It’s life changing.

A great classic on releasing

Got to listen to the audible book after many many years of knowing about this work but not exploring. It really make sense of what I learnt and understand from other teachers. Nice to be able to release along with the exercises in the audio.

Not edited so text repeats

I feel sorry for the reader of this, they didn’t edit it. There are frequent places where she rereads the text. There are frequent places where she rereads the text and it repeats and is annoying a f. Can I let go of wanting this book to be properly edited? Could I? Would I let go of wanting it to be edited? When?

Distracting production values and narration

I found the narrator's voice to be very distracting and rushed - not suited to this material. Why would they use a woman's voice (sounds like a smoker) for Dale Dwoskin's words?! I was hoping that it would be his voice! There's also no differentiation when someone else is speaking; you only realise this after they say the person's name that they've just directly quoted. Overall, it feels as though it was done on the cheap, too quickly and by sound engineers who didn't have enough experience for a project like this.

Audio issues aside, this is an excellent book with an incredibly strong message. Perhaps getting the actual book on this occasion would have been a better choice!
