Publisher's summary

Paranormal women's fiction with romantic elements from NYT and USAT best-selling author Michelle M. Pillow.

Unlucky number seven.

Nina Cole thought escaping a serial killer would be the hardest thing she ever had to face. When a reporter comes sniffing around wanting her to relive the trauma, she feels she has no choice but to pack up and move to a place where no one knows her. Starting over in her 40s is easier said than done. Bad memories aren’t the only thing chasing her. The killer might be in jail, but now it looks like something much more sinister from beyond the grave is hunting her.

Fortunately, there seems to be no shortage of magical assistance in Freewild Cove. But will it be enough? Can her new friends and a secret love interest help Nina survive the latest chapter in her unlucky life?

Heather, Vivien, Lorna, and Sue are back! With the help of Grandma Julia's ghost, they're kicking supernatural butt and taking names.

Nina

Loved this story! Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the audiobook. Nina is so unlucky! It seems if it can go wrong, it does. It is part of a series, but can easily be a stand-alone read. Love grandma Julia, what a character! A stalker serial killer, but light hearted and funny. Narration was excellent.

I Enjoyed It

Following her escape from a serial killer Nina Cole's life should have been on the up but now her life has been made worse by reports trying to use her trauma for their gain. In an attempt to escape them, she ends up in Freewild Cove but is followed by an Investigator for the DA, Jacob Paddock, who convinces her that he is genuinely interested in her and not her story. But is that the truth?

She and Jacob are both well-drawn characters as are her new friends Heather, Vivien, Lorna and Sue. The romance is a slow burn and the storyline has lots of intrigue and drama.

Rebecca Cook does an excellent job with the narration.

The Seventh Key

This was hard to to put down once I started it because it was so good! It starts out with Nina, a survivor of a serial killer moving to a new town and trying to move on with her life but still being plagued by nightmares and "bad luck". There is a private investigator from the case named Jacob that is special to her that calls to check on her not only because of the case but because he also cares about her. Her new landlord Heather introduces her to some friends after an incident at her new home. As the story unfolds Nina is given a vintage ring and finds out her new friends all have special abilities. Will Jacob and Nina along with her new friends be able to help Nina finally put her past and bad luck to rest or will the serial killer get the last laugh? With the help of Heather's grandmother/ghost Julia they just might stand a chance. Check out this intriguing tale to see what happens.

Nina

While this series is a romance, and steamy at that. It’s much more about amazing female friends, and accepting each others baggage.

This reminded me of a telling of what happens after a criminal minds episode. I love how strong Nina is, and how she over comes her fears.

IF ANYONE NEEDS MAGICAL HELP IT IS THIS GIRL. Wow

IF ANYONE NEEDS MAGICAL HELP IT IS THIS GIRL.
Wow, justifiably this girl is a nervous wreak, hiding from shadows, with trust issues and bad luck just follows her around, big time! I really couldn't see how her story would unfold to a happy ending but it did indeed and her past is every girls nightmare but unbelievably it isn't over yet. I was surprised with what happened next and happy she helped others and found a good bunch of magical friends.
I Like the audio version the best, the narrator Rebecca Cook made the story seem real.
Recommended series.

Lucky number

A unique paranormal women's fiction that delves into the chilling world of a serial killer who continues to haunt his latest victim, Nina through other forms of medium via ghosts, and just plain bad luck. Some of the scenes were just fantastic and even gave me a bit of chuckle a few times. This intriguing storyline captured my imagination from the very beginning until the very end.

The narrator, Rebecca Cook. Cook's talent shines through as she portrays all the characters with distinct voices and emotions, immersing me deeper into the story.

Whether you are new to the author's work or a longtime fan, this audiobook is a must-listen for anyone seeking a thrilling journey through the supernatural world.

another good one

I loved all the books I listened to from the author and this one is another good one. Suspense, humour, drama, magic make this story very entertaining. HEA is in the cards too for the hero and heroine.
The voice narrating is one of my faves, She is very talented as each character gets their own and never have to wonder who is talking. Can hear their emotions and moods.

So Dang Good

Holy crap that is good. Nina's powers are awesome, I'd love to have a power like that. I like that Nina and Jacob found each other. This series just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait for the 7th and final book.

Dark Clouds

In the Seventh Key, Nina Cole suffered a series of bad lucks after surviving and escaping from a serial killer. When a reporter followed her home for a story, Nina packed up and left town for Freewild Cove where nobody knows her. Even trying to stay in one of Heather's rental property, more mishaps were following her.

Of course, there was Jacob, an District's Attorney Investigator who job was to make sure that Nina is safe and that she will have her day in court to testify against the serial killer. Jake has feeling for Nina but when Nina left town, Jake went looking for her to make sure that she's alright.

Having one incident happening to Nina was just bad luck but when two incidents happened on the same day with hours apart from each other and finding one of Julie's ring, put Heather, Vivian, Lorne, and Sue into action of helping Nina. It was just a question of can Nina trust them.

The Seventh Key is my favorite of the six book in the Order of Magic. Learning about Heather and Vivian's past and facing the supernatural, that was expected. But facing a serial killer and learning that if Nina's runs of bad lucks were connected, the story got interesting.

There was a scene in the book, that even have me questioning if Julia would be able to help Nina.

The narrator, Rebecca Cook did a great job. I can never great enough of boot-legged Julia's sass (one of Julia's manifestation, even though I love Grandma, Julia the best). Hopefully, the series will keep this narrator on.
