About this listen

From USA Today best-selling author Raymond L. Weil comes the second book in the Star Cross series.

Over 14 months have passed since Fleet Admiral Kurt Vickers drove the Profiteers from Earth. Eighty million people died while the planet was being ransacked and its wealth stolen. Now a new and deadlier threat comes from intergalactic space. An enemy so alien and so ruthless the entire galaxy is at risk.

The Destroyers of Worlds look upon all intelligent life as a source of food. Their ships are nearly indestructible, and they have come to the galaxy to begin their harvest. Even the Protector Worlds are powerless to stop the growing list of planets that are falling victim to the hungry Vorn.

At Newton, Admiral Kurt Vickers learns of this new enemy as well as a growing threat from the Profiteers. High Profiteer Creed is gathering a powerful fleet in the Gothan Empire. He plans to take everything of value from Earth and then turn the planet into a nuclear wasteland. Admiral Vickers is once more forced to return to Kubitz. A black market world considered to be the worst hellhole in the galaxy. Only on Kubitz can Admiral Vickers find what he needs to save Earth.

Interesting storyline and narrator. good that all books use the same for each series. makes the transition easier from book to book.

This was good for a cross country road trip. The story telling is a bit simplistic, reminding me of sci-fi books I read in Junior High. Personally I recommend reading the book rather than listening to it as the NARRATIVE was very HEAVILY sprinkled with highly ACCENTED words. The oddly placed - - pauses was also a bit of a distraction. Despite that I'm moving on with the next book because my wife likes it and I'm curious as to how it all turns out.

Engaging story good enough to continue the series.

Great story if you can ignore the liberal preaching and talking down to built into the story.

Great story but uses "As Well As" so many times that you actually notice and once you do, you find that this book is littered with them.

This story is a good one but could use some more vocabulary thrown in.

The reader did a very good job as always.

Too Much Use of "As Well As"

This is a good clean story I would recommend for anyone concern about clean content. It is a little to predictable moving along common sci-fi themes. My hope is the remainder of the series is more creative. Over goid listen and easy to follow but missing the nerdy science, tech and engineering aspects I enjoy in modern sci-fi.

Clean, simple and predictable space fiction

This author seems to struggle with making characters believable. The dialogue is so unrealistic that it's hard to listen to. The narrator helps to make it a complete waste of money. please listen to the sample prior to purchasing. Save yourself the buyers guilt.
