A comfortable smile

what a treat! I love the imagery of the bowling ball with legs and bowling pans with arms. It makes me ponder and wonder whatever happened to Freddie? it makes me feel like I've been there and I've met some of these characters. And though it's a short story it actually feels a little longer. I really love the anticipation

Love how the author gave the character so much detail.

I really liked how the author gave the characters charisma depth and detail. The voice actor narrating it also did an amazing job with all of the accents to really bring those characters to Life.

Outstanding book

When reading this book in print I loved how the author created rich environments and characters that I fell in love with instantly. The author’s hallmark in this, as with her previous works, is that her writing style is rich and direct, creating a world that draws you in from the first sentence and keeps the pages turning. Subsequently, with the Audible version the narrator is fantastic! He captures the characters’ mannerisms as they appeared in my head while I was reading the book, and his narration adds a layer of richness to the performance. I highly recommend purchase of the Audible version of this book, and cannot wait for Part 2.

Pokin fiendeshly leaves her readers in painful anticipation for next book

The author, Laurie Pokin, has once again written a story with intricate characters, and a main story line that makes you, the reader, want to devour her novel. Ms. Pokin subtly builds up anticipation by exploring the various characters that surround the protagonist, Freddy, and the complex emotions she feels towards some of them. Will you be able to notice subtle hints peppered throughout the novel? Perhaps you may deduce "who dunnit" before the next novel is released. Even if you do, you will be left pining for Ms. Pokin's next installment of "The Strange Abduction of Freddy Heddy Hardcrumble," if just to confirm your theory.
