Publisher's summary

Never trust a stranger…

But late at night and trapped in the middle of nowhere during a terrible snowstorm, Tibby and Walker have no choice. With roads shutting down and cell towers out, running into each other and deciding to travel together could either be their saving grace or worst mistake.

When they’re forced to take an unexpected detour and seek refuge in a roadside motel, the storm quickly becomes the least of their worries. A disturbing discovery in the motel, the questionable actions of the mysterious owner and fellow guests, and a news report about a missing couple in the area set the scene for a terrifying night, but the worst is yet to come.

Each stranger holds a secret, but which one should be trusted?

Nice Twists

You can always expect some great twists from a KM book and this one has a couple of big ones! Everyone is suspect and it seems everyone is kind of shady which makes it even more fun to try and figure out who the murderer is!!

Narration was ok. Multiple narrators usually enhances the listening experience not sure it worked for this book or maybe it was who was narrating.

Cheesy

Cheesy and predictable. Ugh. I love most of her books, but this one fell short 😭

Narrations we’re very well done. Not one of Modglin’s best and Im a huge fan.

This author writes with such skill, she makes you feel like you are watching the story from a front row seat.

Wonderful story line. Thrilling character’s with a twister ending. I recommend the book to readers who enjoy the ride of terror.

Pointless and weird

Modglin is so hit or miss… the only good thing about this one is she didn’t price gouge like she normally does. I would’ve given the performance 2 stars if it weren’t for Saskia, and I wish she would have realized she’s too good for a book like this. I hate the chapters that are narrated by the killer, and the entire story is just weird, creepy and pointless. I’m all about dark psychological thrillers, but whatever this is, I’m not about it.
