About this listen

A woman hunted

Once a hopeless wallflower, Clarissa Meadows blossomed into a beauty for a single splendid season—only to catch the eye of a madman bent on possessing her. Now, she must flee where he'll never follow: a friend's house in the Scottish Highlands. Except he does follow. And Clarissa has nowhere left to run.

A protector unbound

Campbell MacPherson shouldn't be dreaming about the fair English lass who blushes like a sunrise, blurts out double entendres over breakfast, and shows a peculiar interest in the size of his hands. But when she reveals the threat putting fear in her eyes, this rough, solitary giant vows his protection, even if it means keeping temptation as close as his next breath.

A temptation too hot to deny

Clarissa couldn't ask for a more imposing—or enthralling—bodyguard than Campbell MacPherson. But accepting his protection puts him squarely in a predator's sights. And soon, she faces an impossible choice: stay in the shelter of his arms or save the man she loves from the wolf she's brought to his door.

Contains mature themes.

Going straight into the FAVORITES list!

I love this entire series and was disappointed upon learning that the audio version was going to be delayed by three whole months!!! Thankfully, it was well worth the wait.
Elsa Braden’s writing is perfection. How she manages to create romance novels with edge of your seat thrills while also incorporating so many laugh out loud moments is completely baffling. I’m just thankful that she does and does it so incredibly well. This one is going straight onto the favorites list.
Elisa Braden’s Midnight in Scotland series + Ruth Urquhart = deliciousness.

I liked it

I liked the story, and that the h wasnt that shy or ignorant aboutthe sex. I didnt like the narration, it was hard for me to listen to the book becouse of the narrator, I prefer male narrator in books that written in 3 person.

What a great series!

This series was so much fun! I loved the first book best but the characters all captured my heart. The looney old lady with the potions and visions cracked me up through the whole series. I hope the author will continue the series with the other brothers because I am interested in their story too. The narrator was amazing as always! Read this series if you are looking for something with a lot of heart, suspense, action, and fun!

Wrong listed narrator

I’m glad this narrator was good because if she weren’t it would be attributed to the listed narrator. This narrator isn’t Ruth U

A Great Series

This book and the series was so very good. I’m hoping that the series continues with the last two brothers. I feel like I’m left dangling, wondering what happened with the last two brothers.

Epic romance

I love the characters of Campbell and Clarissa. Campbell is a huge, gruff Highlander man who prefers cows to people. He lives way off from everybody by himself. Then he meets Clarissa who has left England with her grandmother to go to Scotland to get away from a stalker. It begins when it’s decided she’ll go to Campbell’s house for protection. Then there’s a spur of the moment wedding. Their love story blooms and the suspense heightens. By the end, I was grinning like a fool and signing. This is a reread and I enjoyed it just as much this time as I did the first. Highly recommend.

Couldn’t stop listening

Wow steamy and a great plot. Love the intricately woven family stories on this series. Can’t wait to hear about Rannok story. I’m assuming that will be next!

Frickin’ fantastic!

Wahoo! This was my favorite so far. It was laugh out loud funny and erotic. Campbell is quiet and sexy and completely in love. Clarissa is so hopeful and brave and completely in love. I enjoyed the story so much, it was exciting and honestly unpredictable. You knew that something bad was going to happen, but you had no idea how it was going to come about. And then boom. It was fun. It’s also wonderful to see how the previous stories impacted this one, and exciting to look forward to the next books in this series. I wish they were already out, I feel that I will need to re-listen to the first three books before listening to the next book in the series which isn’t even out in print yet. It will be worth it.
