Publisher's summary

Artemis Fowl, say hello to Artemis Fowl.

When Artemis Fowl’s mother contracts a life-threatening illness, his world is turned upside down. The only hope for a cure lies in the brain fluid of the silky sifaka lemur. Unfortunately, the animal is extinct, thanks to the money-hungry deeds of a younger Artemis.

Though the odds are stacked against him, Artemis is not willing to give up. With the help of his fairy friends, the young genius travels back in time to save the lemur and bring it to the present. But to do so, Artemis will have to defeat a maniacal poacher, who has set his sights on new prey: Holly Short. The rules of time travel are far from simple, but to save his mother, Artemis will have to break them all...and outsmart his most cunning adversary yet: Artemis Fowl, age 10.

Childhood favorite

Love this whole series. These books got me into audiobooks. The narrator does a great job with giving each character their own voice so you can immediately tell who's supposed to be talking without having to guess or wonder.

Narration

It’s a good book, but its not narrated by Nathaniel Parker. I mean there’s nothing wrong with that but its just you lied and its still a really good book.

Finally!!!!!

Enn Ritell completely destroyed this book!!!! I am listening to Mr. Parker and have to say that this is a completely different book. WHY DID AUDIBLE have such a hard time giving us the correct book. Why are they NOT giving us the books we want?? I tried to buy the from the UK site and could not.

The book is wonderful and Nathaniel Parker is a Gem.

Another great adventure for Artemis Fowl

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, and frequently do (as I work in a library). The action and adventure don't stop! Our favorite characters develop even more in this story, and we discover another side to Holly. Eoin Colfer's wry sense of humor prevents the ecological message from becoming preachy, and the villain is wonderfully off-kilter.

What about Nathaniel Parker’s performance did you like?

Nathanial Parker's wonderful grasp of the personality and accent of each character, even a minor one, exponentially enhanced my enjoyment of this book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Finding out a bit more about Captain Holly Short, and her relationship with her mother, really helped explain some of the reasons she became the tough little elf she did!

This is now read by Nate Parker as advertised!!!

At last - this is now the version with Nathaniel Parker reading. I bought the CDs from amazon.com in the meantime, but I do prefer the audible download, so I'm glad to get this. I had downloaded the Enn Reitel when it came out a few months ago, but I much prefer Nathaniel Parker. So thank you, audible, for getting the Nathaniel Parker version. Please stick with him!
