Spy. Liar. Scoundrel. Redcoat.

Provocateur and spy for His Majesty, Captain John Carlisle returns to Fort Niagara with the secrets he stole in the arms of the beautiful Oneida innkeeper, Dellis McKesson. Determined to complete his mission and clear his name, he’ll see justice done—and damn the consequences. Now, he finds himself drawn into political intrigue, as the British prepare to launch a three-pronged attack that will bring the rebels and the Mohawk River Valley to its knees.

A dangerous revelation finds Dellis as whispers of intrigue insinuate her beloved is not all that he seems. Unwilling to wait for her lover’s return, she sets out in search of the truth as the Oneida begin negotiations with the rebels, breaking the neutrality agreement with the crown. A bold move that will stoke a fire between the brother tribes and lead to a bloody inter-confederacy war—one Dellis predicted and one John incited. While war between the colonies and the king smolders, the punishing winter of 1777 allows the perfect opportunity for old enemies to settle scores, lying in wait, ready to exploit John’s one weakness—his heart.

John is not an innocent man. The truth he’s long tried to hide from can no longer be ignored, the ghosts of the past seeking justice, and karma wanting payment for sins so dark they cannot be forgiven.

passion & suspense await you in this epic saga

Brilliant. This wrecked me. From the stellar narration to the rich characters, The Traitor and this saga deserve all the stars. One of my favorite sagas of this decade. A must listen: London delivers passion, history and drams as she shares a sweeping story that left me begging for the next audiobook.

I loved The Tory, but The Traitor took the story and its characters to a whole new level. The full cast narration pulls you in and never lets you go. Each narrator played their role brilliantly with stand out performances by Tara Langella and Shane East, our heroine and hero. They brought these characters to life and their passionate romance was off the charts. Dryw McArthur did a splendid job with Alexi and I am eager for more of this story. Patrick Zeller as Delancie ...is it wrong to love a villain? Zeller is a new Marnye Young’s Celeste is a character you will love to hate. Shayna Small as Agnes and Nicholas Boulton as Merrick and Major Butler were a welcome addition to the audio. Every narrator gave award worthy performances.

The narration is duet style, and it enhanced London's masterful, fleshed out tale and complex characters. London's saga is a historical romance with strong romantic elements that quickly pulls listeners in and soon has them spreading the word to all who will listen. London brought her blood, sweat and tears to this incredible story and I am delighted she brought it to our ears.

Historical Fiction At Its Finest!

Great story. Beautiful writing and amazing cast. TJ London has a powerful way with words and the narrator's each owned the characters in a way that any listener would connect with the delivery. I still love to hate Celeste and Roger lol.

Outstanding Historical Romance Series!

This is the second book in The Rebels and Redcoats Saga, an outstanding Historical Romance. John and Dellis’s adventures continue where the first book left off. There is a lot going on in this installment. The storyline is intricate, and enthralling, filled with intrigue, danger, and twists and turns. The supporting characters are great and intriguing. The full cast of narrators did an outstanding job with the narration (Shane East, Tara Langella, Patrick Zeller, Marnye Young, Dryw McAuthur, Shayna Small and Nicholas Boulton). The audio quality is impressive. I HIGHLY recommend this book, and this Series. Looking forward to listen to The Turncoat, the next installment in this amazing Saga. #CaffeinatedPR #TheAudioFlow

Book 2 in the saga is exceptional!

The Traitor
Rebels & Redcoats #2
TJ London

The Traitor, book 2 in TJ London’s Rebels and Redcoats saga is all about secrets, lies and consequences.
Captain John Carlisle of his Majesty’s Army has fallen in love and is trying to keep his love the beautiful Oneida Innkeeper Dellis McKesson safe while he tries to clear his name about his involvement in the massacre at her village two years earlier that resulted in the death of her parents and a brutal attack she survived that was carried out on the orders of his then superior officer Major Roger Delancey. But to do that he’ll have to confess his many sins which he’s not proud of but he also knows that keeping her in the dark will be their downfall.
Dellis is tired of all the posturing by the men in her life and wishes all her relationships could be easy but that’s certainly not the case with her Redcoat. She just wishes he’d come clean with whatever he’s hiding because she’s got a secret to tell him too.
As the world around them continue to crumble and the obstacles between them grow they both know that their love is precious but can it weather the storm that’s coming?
This not for the faint of heart as it contains some pretty graphic and violent content, non-stop action and a rather raw narrative but since it fits TJ London’s storyline like a glove and it’s not there for shock value it actually gives the story an added element of honesty. The audience will find themselves entranced by the period perfect costumes and customs, a smokin hot romance and credible characters that will stay with the listener long after the book is over. And as in book one it’s John and Dellis who rule the pages with their passion, their pain and their resilience.
Fans of Outlander and other realistic historical fiction of the like will love this series that is meant to be read in order.

Narration:
The narration by Shane East and Tara Langella who portray John and Dellis are incredible they emit just the right amount of emotion in every word but they’re not alone and the performances of Marnye Young, Patrick Zeller, Shayna Small and Nicholas Boulton are also exceptional making the audio version the way to go.

Personal stories intertwined with History

While Dellis and John’s love story is the catalyst for most of the events, whether this book is a romance is debatable. It’s a historical saga, with the personal stories intertwined with History. Through colorful and unique characters, the author tells a tale of treachery, love and violence.

John and Dellis getting back together takes the whole book, and their journey is full of passion and drama. They have few allies, and way more enemies–the bigger one being their past. We learn more about the circumstances of Dellis’s parents’ death, and it isn’t pretty. In terms of characters, between DeLancie and Celeste, they have more than enough obstacles to fight, already, and Fate seems determined to hinder them at every turn.

All the main characters get their time to shine–the main couple aren’t the only one telling their point of view. It was interesting to get inside the villains’ mind and understand their motivations. I won’t say I felt sorry for them, but they had reasons to act as they did.

In order to have a better understanding of DeLancie, the author wrote flashbacks. Several. The thing is, in audio, there was no indication that we got back in time. And since the characters, and their voices, were the same, it was confusing sometimes.

As the characters multiply, so do the narrators. And it was a good idea. Between the various voices from the narrators, the accents, and of course, the number of narrators added, there was never any confusion as who was talking. And they were all amazingly good. A gripping story with great narrators, I can’t wait for the next book in the saga.

5 stars

The Traitor picks up right where the Tory ended. This is a continuing series and must be read in order. Oh man this audiobook is a step up from the Tory as its duet and even more multi cast characters are introduced. A lot of povs in this story as there's more than one story being told.

John it trying to turn things around from his past, but is still being used by others. I really feel for Dellis, that poor woman and the things she went through. When John and Dellis getting past a grievance experienced together and finding their way to understand each other was beautiful.

Celeste, I so dislike her but can only wonder what the future hold for her and will she be redeemable.

Onto Man of War next!

The cast and the emotions they evoked are out of this world. They all did an excellent job. Fans of audiobooks will be pleased with this performance.

5 Stars just isn’t enough for this all star cast.

I have to start out stating that the narration for this book was spectacular. There were many times I could envision what was going on in the story and it almost felt like I was watching a play and not listening to the audiobook. Full Cast audio is such an amazing experience.

We get to continue in the saga of John Carlisle and his new love Dellis McKesson while having to deal with the ever present and evil Celeste and DeLancie, who both live to make the captain and his love's life absolutely miserable. There were many times you thing that Celeste is the one pulling the puppet strings but then DeLancie proves to be pulling many strings himself. We learn more about Alexei, Dellis's cousin as he becomes a more prominent character. Dellis has many moments where she has no idea who she should put her trust in and there were a few times my heart just hurt and broke for her.

There is so much that goes on in this 18 hour audiobook that I just want everyone to experience. And that is definitely what this book is...a complete experience. Through T.J. London's outstanding writing, you are taken back to 1777 and live through everything these characters do. I truly couldn't ask for more from this book. Except for maybe a certain someone to get what's coming to them. Which hopefully will happen in the next installment.

This review doesn't do this book the justice it deserves but trust me, it's truly outstanding.

I’m in love

I love this story. I love that I couldn’t predict what would happen next. My husband refuses to watch movies with me because I’m annoying and can always predict what will happen next. I cannot wait to start book 3!
The audible for book 2 was amazing! I couldn’t stop listening, and I’m pretty sure I fell in love with Shane East. I hope I never meet him I’ll be a blubbering idiot.
