Fun... exciting... humorous!

Quite the witty take on Sherlock and Watson, and hopefully the first of many! Perfectly paced action and a story intriguing enough to not want to put the book down.

A younger Twist

A Younger Homes and Watson , sometimes bizarre and interesting twist on their first case together.

What a surprise!

I never thought I would enjoy this version of Sherlock Holmes. However, I must say I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed it. The teen girls navigating school, while embarking on a mystery was a wonderful story.

How long until the next book?

This? This was a delightful book!

I'm not really fond of stories in which the protagonists are teenagers, but this one win me from the very beginning, mostly because it didn't fall into the usual traps of YA fiction. The characters are fresh, smart and funny. Joanna Watson is the queen of sarcasm and Sherlock Holmes is, of course, very much lost to the niceties of society. *laughs* But they are stuck together as lab partners and Joanna is very much intrigued by this new arrival to her school.

The mystery was fantastically well done, adapted perfectly to both, the modern era and the differences coming from the age of the protagonists.

It's not a traditional story, for sure, but if you aren't a rabid purist, you'll enjoyed it :D

And Debbie Andreen's narration is wonderful.

I just hope the next book in this series will come soon ♥

Clever adaptation of Holmes/Watson

I enjoyed TL Garrison’s version of Holmes and Watson as high school girls. The characters were teenagers with angst and baggage, but are intelligent and shrewd and making their way the best they can. There are references and parallels with the original ACD books throughout the book that were quite witty. I hope there will be more in the series. The narration was very good. I received a free audiobook for my honest review.
