The one handed vamp and the doctor

There are good and bad vampires, demons, people selling their souls for gifts and money, an ancient tigers sacrifice, and reincarnation in this book 📖. Throughout it all love ❤️ is the most powerful .

Shanghai love.

I always love Ms Sparks books, she takes her readers across the world and back in a single night to accomplish their missions.
Lots of excitement and intrigue and I absolutely adore the Scotsman. From their native attire to their accents and of course they are gorgeous and sexy. Because this is a wonderfully written vampire store you even get to go back in time with them. I actually feel like I'm there with them learning their culture seeing the sights and the causes for why they're what they are, My Heros

LOVED DOUGAL!!

If you could sum up The Vampire with the Dragon Tattoo in three words, what would they be?

Funny, Sad, Interesting

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Vampire with the Dragon Tattoo?

Dougal and Vonna the rubber doll!!

Would you be willing to try another one of Paula Costello’s performances?

No She was not very good. Her Scottish accent was horrible. She keep saying I instead of Aye which means yes, yeah in the Scottish Brogue, but Paula Costello sounded more like the way the Japanese would pronounce yes. She got on my nerves with her narration.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Love at Stake!!

Any additional comments?

The Narrator made this story perfect!

Where does The Vampire with the Dragon Tattoo rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

When listening to audiobooks vs. reading books, the narrator can truly make or break the book. This was wonderful story, the perfect mix of paranormal and romance but it was Paula Costello's Scottish accent that made me swoon at the dialogue between Dougal and his love.

What other book might you compare The Vampire with the Dragon Tattoo to and why?

Again, this book had the perfect combination of romance and paranormal with a dash of sexiness. The hero was sweet and strong like Samantha Young's Down London Road and the story had humor and paranormal like my other favorite author Katie MacAlister!

What does Paula Costello bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I just don't think the words that Dougal spoke to his love would have made me feel the same way without Paula Costello's perfect Scottish accent! Also, sometimes narrators can do a great female voice and a horrible male voice or the other way around. Of course Paula does the female voices great but she also makes the males sound like their characters-strong, funny, romantic.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES-because of the narration. I love that the book is told in both the female's point of view and the male's point of view. And because Paula does both narrations so well, I just wanted to listen to the whole story through to the end. Unfortunately work and sleep got in the way.

Any additional comments?

I love all Kerrelyn Sparks books but this one is one of the best.

Perfect Story

This book was sad, sexy, happy and such a great read. Sparks keeps getting better and better with each book in this series.

The world she has cultivated over the years is believable and steady. It has not veered far off form its beginnings and I love the books for that. I very much look forward to reading about Zoltan in the next book.

Some of the Narrators chosen for the Love At Stake books have been hit and miss. This was definitely a hit! I had no problems knowing who was talking. Good story and good narrator makes a great listen!

Not my favorite out of all of Kerrelyn's books.

Finally get to hear Dougal Kincaid's Story. In the "Love At Stake" Series, earlier on, Dougal lost his sword hand in battle with the Malcontents. He's always the soft spoken of the Vamps and very loyal. A background character that you smiled and felt sorry for. Unfortunately, I felt sorry for him through this whole book! Sad life and sadder way to become a vampire. It touches base on his childhood of slavery, how he came to be playing the pipes and his music in general. Highlights on his lost love. Also touches on his new prosthetic hand that Roman made him that he can control with his mind. I never knew what a mopey Vamp he was! Leah is no better. She's his love interest. A brainy child who grew up smarter then the rest and became a scientist. She has a few hang-ups herself and found myself wanting to reach in the book and smack her a good one a few times. The story does improve when you get further into it! I loved the Angels part in it and a face off with the demon Darifer.
