Good overall with a few downfalls

Her overall message and experience was genuine and will help those who don’t already know how to have the healthiest body and mind you can have. Her ability to afford all the tests and natural makeup etc should be noted. Most people cannot afford to have their stool tested or go to a Manhattan all natural make up store. However, the biggest disappointment was her insecurity and inability of allowing her boyfriend to see her face without make up. At 29 years old! It made me wonder why she would want to be with someone who may be so shallow as to not accept her for who she is. And last but not least was her inability to pronounce the word hormones. Did no one notice she cannot pronounce this word? She pronounces it harmones. I know this is being extremely nitpicky but if you’re going to say the word a million times learn how to say it. All that aside, I applaud her for being so open minded and going against her natural instincts to be hyper clean all the time and embrace natural bacteria. Change is hard and she did it. She changed her health for the better and didn’t have to lose herself and become someone totally different in the process. Kudos to her!

if you are totally aware of all the pros and cons of all the alternative ways then you can appreciate the path and balance that this author lived and learned

Comforting listen

As someone with a lot of mysterious medical stuff, this was comforting and inspiring. I picked up a lot of tips I'll be trying to help improve my health and remove toxic chemicals from my life.

This book might have saved me from more years of misdiagnosis!

Thank You Phoebe for writing this book! It was very helpful but most of all revealing to me! After two years of fighting acne crisis in my forties with doctors who meant well but didn’t solve the problem, this book was a revelation of what could be causing my acne!
It’s fun, easy to read (or listen to) and with lots of info but simple to understand for everyone. Once again: Thank you!! ♥️

A cute book for teens.

Very cute trendy book with a bunch of cool fluff. Though rather written for young teens. Has lots of good information to inspire them to start thinking about their own health and, perhaps, to model the author in other ways.

The only reason I gave 3 stars as it’s unfortunate that the book cover is somewhat misleading. Somehow it appeared to be suitable for grownups. With a more targeted cover it would be a great book for the right crowd.

I any case, a light gourmet-blog-chit-chat style read, it appears to offer a glimpse into popular trends of younger city-based crowds.

awesome information

this is a great book and I love the way its written and read. keeps my attention and I can relate to a lot of her journey, just trying to find my way in a world full of health gurus everyone that knows one thing is better then another.

Good story, distracting language

Really enjoyed the narrative of this journey and sharing of the valuable lessons learned. However, the bad language was so distracting for me. Just when I would really get into the story another unnecessary word would taint any good I was receiving. Very disappointed in this.

I enjoyed this book

I recently became an Integrative Nutritional Health Coach and I read and listen to anything wellness related, often drawing my own black or white conclusions. This book made me realize there are none, and reinforced what I had learned, but not really ‘heard’. That we are all different, change cannot happen all at once, and how to be honest with yourself about what is working and what is not. I listened to this on audio book, but I think I’m getting the paper version so I can underline and reread many passages.

Love the idea of healthy hedonism

This book has such a refreshing take on health. As someone who grew up "crunchy," I know how many random pieces of health advice can be thrown at you. This book categorizes this advice really well and shares the results that the author found when trying them out. She gives great information on what worked and what didn't, and shares how she found balance in her life. I really enjoyed it and I feel like I got some great takeaways.
