For the Living, are you listening to your dreams about the dead?

Wonderful short story. Performances were so perfect. The story life and death is such a mystery and maybe those "whispers" are angels helping lost spirits find their hope for peace and justice.

Interesting short story, first in trilogy

My first book by Lisa Unger. Excellent narrator. It's a short story introducing Eloise who discovers she has psychic abilities. Well written, featuring interesting characters, and considering its length, a remarkably solid story.

A Great Start

I'm glad this is a trilogy but would have loved for it to be a full book. It was believable and tragic. The characters were flawed and real. As usual, January LaVoy dose a wonderful job narrating. I will definitely be reading the next two.

What???

I love Lisa Unger’s writing, but this was just not what I expected. The story started well, and 2 chapters later, it was done. Then the next book picks up 13 years later and you have no idea what happened or who the characters were that appeared. I’m very upset that I spent the credit to get the book only to find out it was 3 chapters long, and then next the trilogy comes out as a new book. I guess I would have expected the first book to take the main character to where she started in the second book. I’m just so very disappointed.
