Publisher's summary

Nothing could’ve prepared Kell for the strange new world of magic and shifters...and discovering he’s the Windward! Sure, stranger things have happened...but to him?

Keller Thorne, graduate of the school of hard knocks, expected life to be tough but he never expected to be swept off his feet by a handsome alpha shifter.

Johnny Oaks, a Brit living in Boston, has chosen the reclusive life of an outcast werewolf practicing hedge magic. As a Child of the Moon, he split from the witches while his childhood friend, Ash, chose their side. A betrayal he can never forget.

The Vigil is out to eliminate anyone who isn’t human and Kell’s their next target. But he can’t pry himself away from Johnny, even with the world against them. The alpha seems to have taken a liking to Kell’s stubborn streak.

Learning he is a Child of the Moon, Kell must embrace his role as the Windward. His fate split between the wolves and witches; will his stormy nature be enough? As for Johnny, resisting his alpha instincts might be too much when Kell blooms into an omega.

Enter a world of sensuality, intrigue, and powerful shifters. The Wizard Wolf is a stand-alone M/M romance in the breathtaking WindWard triad series. Prepare yourself for steamy love affairs that will leave your heart racing. 18+ only please.

Great listen.

Thisnis a great start of this new series. Johnny and Kell's story is a entertaining listen. I like see where these characters are coming from, how they met and watching their relationship grow. This story has some action, danger, magic and love. Kevin Earlywine does a good job with the narration. I just got more pulled into the story. I can't wait to hear more about the next one.

The start of a great series.

Reviewer: Teresa Fallen Angel

Summary:
Keller’s life has never been easy. Growing up in the foster care world was bad enough, but it seemed misfortune all followed him around. Bad things happened in his presence leaving him to take the blame. In all that time he only had one friend Carson who stayed by him even after he was adopted. The years were hard leaving Keller on the outside watching others lives pass him by until the day he was attacked and he ran into Johnny, a man with very interesting abilities like hiding in plain sight. You see there is more to the world than Keller ever thought and he is about to enter the paranormal world where anything is possible. Keller and Johnny embark on journey that will lead them through a fight between paranormal societies, possible death form a group that hates all paranormal beings, but most important a chance at a love they both hunger for above all else.

This was a wonderful start to an intricate and creative new series brought to life in Audio-book format.

Interesting dynamic...

This was an interesting story. There was a lot of education needed to understand the dynamics of this story and how it was applicable to individuals. The Vigil and the warring factions of the Children of the Moon and the emergence of the Windward was interesting and at times, intriguing. Though I enjoyed learning about Keller and Johnny and one hoped for a HEA...I will be interested to see where this goes in the next part of the series. The story was pretty good...

Just not Engaging...

I really wanted to like this. I love a good series with characters I get to know, ex: Darkling Mage, Lazarus Codex and especially the Dresden stories by Jim Butcher. This was just too many long verbose passages of it's whiny protagonist's repetitive moaning about his past life, inability to trust and being misunderstood. He meets his savior early enough, but then that guy goes on and on hinting about the hidden world they are going to enter and his sad background. Don't get me wrong, I would enjoy some exposition. This is just endless exposition with very little action, and the protagonist going into a snit every time his hero expresses something in a way he doesn't like. Too many brief, petulant arguments followed by explanations, followed by "Oh, that's OK then." This never feels like strong, active characters beginning an exciting relationship in a newly expanding world, which is what I was hoping for in a wizard/werewolf supernatural story.
