About this listen

As Nephele, Alexus, and their faithful companions grapple with the devastating loss on Mount Ulra, the threat of Thamaos's reign rises in the East. To prepare, the crew must strengthen the Northland and Summerland armies, even if it means depending on the one being they never thought would live again: Neri, God of the White Wolf.

Nephele made a deal that not only ensures the Wolf's resurrection, but one that forces her to remain at his side, even when he returns North to bolster defenses and destroy any traitors and enemies remaining. The last thing Nephele wants is to spend her days and nights alone with a seductive, arrogant god, but Tiressia's future depends on Neri being their primary weapon, one only she holds the power to wield.

As Thamaos aims his first wave of destruction at Neri, Nephele finds that not only is the Wolf more difficult to control than she believed, but that he's more human than she gave him credit for. With every passing hour, the undeniable passion between them burns brighter, until their fire becomes impossible to resist.

Because the only thing he loathes more than the Wolf roaming Tiressia again, is that there's a witch at his side, and her name is Bloodgood.

Fantastic

The only terrible thing about this book is that I didn’t know there is no fourth book out yet. This wasn’t my favorite of the series but it was very good. It’s a slow burn but worth the wait…

One god, three forms…..worth the wait

I read The Wolf and the Witch when it first came out and this audiobook rendition is make you blush amazing. The narration to the book to another level and getting to hear Neri… it was an out of body experience 🤣.

Now onto the book details:

The Wolf and the Witch is book 3 in the Witch Walker Series by Charissa Weaks.

This book picks up right where City of Ruin ended on Top of Mount Ulra except we are now in Nephale and Neri’s point of view. We follow Neri and Nephele as they work to help their friends and family, while preparing for Thamos’s impending attack in the wake of their losses and uncertainty following the events on Mount Ulra. Although we do have a strong presence from Alexus in the first half of the book, the focus is really on Nephele and Neri and them understanding their draw to each other and understanding their role in taking down Thamos.

My heart ached when Fleurie and Alexus are reunited. The whispered words shared brought tears to my eyes. The torment and anguish was palpable.

I loved the sarcasm and sexual tension between Neri and Nephele that grew to trust and understanding. The lust that turned to unspoken tenderness and love.

The Wolf and the Witch was well written and made you turely feel for Nephele and Neri to a point where I am left wanting more of them and their story.

Absolutely perfect!

Everything about this book and series is awesome! Both narrators are very talented! I can't wait for the 3rd book to come out!

As good if not better than the first book

Brilliant magic system and world building. Fantastic character arcs and plot layers. Performed beautifully. I’ll re-listen sooner than later.

CHARISSA!!! Needed a moment to gather my thoughts after THAT scene. A three-in-one god, a book full of determination, twists and turns, and yet another amazing cliffhanger that makes me literally ache with impatience for Kingdom of the Forgotten. I started the book with hesitation since it segued from Raina and into the life of Nephele. I was more than ready to find out what happens to Raina after finishing City of Ruin, but one chapter in to TWATW, I was immersed in needing to know more about this Nephele and what makes her tick. Charissa brings her words to life with the amount of detail she puts into them. But again, the star of this book other than the amazing plot that keeps me coming back for more, is THAT scene. Oh, that one scene. Thank you.

Nephele & *ahem*… that one scene

I loved the development of the story but I feel like it was much shorter than I was anticipating. I’m hoping the next book for the story that comes out fall of this year will either finish the story in a great length or provide much needed information.

Great story but short
