About this listen

Mass murder doesn't happen in Matt Foley's town. It doesn't happen to his friends. Someone is going to pay.

Disturbing crime scenes are nothing new to the Twin Falls Police Chief. But this one is different. The victims are friends. In their Tudor mansion just inside the city limits, a family is dead: husband, wife, two kids, and the family cook.

The killer made one mistake. He left a survivor.

The husband is one of the big three in the microchip industry. The family lived a quiet modest life. It doesn't make sense.

Until....

Too many times I listen to the first book in a series and sit on pins & needles anxiously awaiting the next installment only to find myself completely disappointed. It was not the case with this book, if anything it was even better! Of course that could be because I became emotionally attached to the main characters in the first book, so with the second book they had me at hello!! I hope the author is reading this because I'm desperately hoping for book #3. The narration was perfect with just the right amount of intrigue and each character well defined. The icing on the cake was no bad language or sexual content to distract from the storyline, just a nice clean murder mystery. Well Done!!!

Second Book Was Not A Disappointment!!

First off do not shy away from this thriller just because it is Christian themed. The book is only very subtly seasoned with Christian content that fits nicely into the story. There is no fanatic preaching or Christian rhetoric. For example one of the main characters is a missionary and the Christian content is mainly centered around this character which fits nicely into the story and does not detract from the mystery thriller. I wish more Christian themed novels where done in this manner. No hard sell, no overpowering rhetoric, no Christian intimidation.

Secondly this is an exiting, high octane, original well written and narrated mystery thriller with a complex plot containing surprises, twists and turns. If you like a good mystery thriller with lots of action and surprises then this book is for you.

This is the next book in series. Lots of mystery with twists and turns to keep the listener on the edge of their seat right to the very end. I look for more from this author.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.

This is the second book in the Matt/ Sara series. While it is a stand alone book it did help to have some of the background written in the first book.

A family of 5 people are killing in Matt's town. The sheriff's office works through the facts to determine who the murder is.

While it was a little more revealing than book one, this book held the suspense through the entire book, not discovering the villain until the very end.

I've enjoy the narrator. He did a good job with the dialogue and accents from the US as well as England.

I look forward to more from both.

Well done!

Then There Were None is a good mystery story with a great plot and a bit of the Christian faith woven in. It isn't preachy, but nicely done. With a few twists and surprises, V. B. Tenery weaves a great story. Narration by Maxwell Zener is right on target with the voices and nuances of each character. I look forward to more from them both.
