About this listen

Grief brought high school senior Finley Sinclair to Ireland. Love will lead her home.

Eighteen-year-old Finley Sinclair is witty, tough, talented, and driven. With an upcoming interview at the Manhattan music conservatory, she just needs to finish composing her audition piece. But her creativity disappeared with the death of her older brother, Will.

She decides to take a break and study abroad, following Will’s travel journal to Ireland. Her brother felt closest to God there, and she hopes to find peace about his death. Meanwhile, Beckett Rush - teen heartthrob and Hollywood bad boy - is flying to Ireland to finish filming his latest vampire movie. On the flight, he bumps into Finley - the one girl who seems immune to his charm. Undeterred, Beckett convinces Finley to strike an unconventional bargain.

As Finley deals with the loss of her brother, the pressures of school, and her impending audition, she wonders if an unlikely romance is blossoming between her and Beckett. Then she experiences something that radically changes her perspective on life. Has everything she’s been looking for been with her all along?

Amazing book.

I came across the movie by this name, and saw it was based on this so I downloaded the audio book. While the movie was very good it cannot hold a candle to the richness and depth of the book. If you have something against faith then just pass this by. But, if you aren't sure or you are a person of faith you will really be touched. The young musician/protagonist, Finley, is totally rocked by her older missionary brother's murder in Afghanistan. She goes to Ireland to escape, she thinks, to get away from the pain and to follow in her brother's steps before his death. Lots of lessons learned, and a first hand understanding of how wrong assumptions are so often completely wrong!

Phenomenal book

This is so much better than the movie, which led me to listen to the book. The reader was wonderful, the story so much more meaningful. I seldom give a book 5 stars in each category. This production and book earned it.

More than a cute love story!

Books are created for various reasons; however, one of the most profound, I believe, is to spark inspiration in people’s lives. On three occasions, There You’ll Find Me has been that kind of book for me! After accidentally stumbling upon it a couple of years ago, it has become an unplanned tradition to read it every two years. Each time I dive into this incredible story, I learn something new about myself and receive the answers I’ve been asking God to reveal to me!

There You’ll Find Me focuses on a grief-stricken eighteen-year-old girl named Finley Sinclair. After the tragic death of her older brother, Will, Finley no longer knows who she is. Feeling hopelessly lost, all she wants to do is find herself and hear God speak to her again; instead, silence is all that surrounds her. Believing the only way to conquer this quest of self-discovery and spiritual restoration is to go to Ireland and explore the places Will said he felt the closest to God, Finley leaves her family and flies across the sea to study a semester abroad. With the guide of her brother’s journal, she sets out to follow in his footsteps; however, things don’t go as Finley planned.

With no car, Finley has no choice but to accept the deal Becket Rush, the world’s biggest teen-heartthrob offers. After meeting him on the plane, Finley had hoped to never set eyes on the arrogant actor again; but, when do we ever get what we wish for? Coming to a mutual understanding, Beckett agrees to drive Finley to the places on her list in exchange for her becoming his assistant during the shoot of his upcoming movie. Will Finley find the hope she’s looking for and finish her composition before her big audition, or will the challenges she battles force her to leave more empty than she came?

A charming young adult novel, There You’ll Find Me contains more than a cute love story. The first time I read this book, I was surprised at the level of spirituality and truth sew into its pages. God used Jenny B. Jones’ words to speak directly to me, pulling me out of the funk I’d been in. As I read, Finley and I became intertwined, and all of the emotions exuding from the pages seemed to pour over me as though God was also unlocking my heart along with Finley’s!

There You’ll Find Me is an excellent novel for young teens, but also for those who enjoy clean books with real topics and powerful messages. I recommend it to all the girls searching to hear God’s voice, dealing with loss, or struggling with body image. This book deserves to be praised and re-read as often as possible! It’s a diamond in the rough, and I hope you’ll appreciate it as much as I do!

Clear your schedule before you start!!

This was a well written book. the ending was particularly sweet and I loved the Bible verses used throughout. that was very inspiring to me, and the fact that Finley found God at the end, which was strange for me because I am a Reformed Protestant and also a pastors daughter, so saying that "God and I aren't speaking" was weird to me in the beginning of the story, but now after the ending I realized that Finley just didnt trust God, and then she found the true beauty of his glory in her lost brother and the cross, which was a perfect ending to the story. There are a lot of anger issues in the characters of this book. I found myself really wanting to be Finley and to make things right an apologize when she just went on and on accusing Beckett when he was just trying to help. I think I would've changed multiple things in this story, but actually this way it made the ending so much happier. definetly cried at the end with Mrs. Sweeney. if your thinking about listening to it, do it . you won't be disappointed.

Amazing story!

I just discovered this book in my library about a month ago, and decided to try it. I found it on audible and listened as I read. This is an incredible book and the audiobook really helped me enjoy it even more! I really enjoy this author, she writes in a way where I can picture everything very clearly in my head. The reader is perfect, I wouldn’t change anything about her performance. This book is also way way better than the movie which I didn’t enjoy. The movie sucked away the Christianity and a lot of other critical parts of the book. Very disappointed. I love this book, and I hope you do too! I definitely recommend this book to Christians, this book really helped me grow my faith!

Loved the story and narrator

I loved the narrator. She did a great southern and Irish accent.

I liked the story as well. If someone doesn’t have a Christian background I can see them not liking it. The main character is trying to find God as well as figure out her own stresses and struggles. I loved how everything tied together.

Better than the movie

Better than the Hallmark movie that, of course, sucked all the Christianity out of it and even the eating disorder.
