Mastering Intellectual Chess Games

This book is a great primer on the art of communication, getting your point across, and winning the battle of wits.
It explains in detail that we all think in different ways with frameworks like the MBTI. We also can prepare evidence like a lawyer would and have counterexamples and reasoning to support our goals and endeavors in life.

Encourages Critical Thinking and logical reasoning

The book was written extremely interesting, even for the non legal folks. It encourages and helps you to learn critical thinking skills and helps you in building up an effective and rational thought process, which is essential for everyone to have. One of the most useful chapters for me was "Negotiation is equal to persuasion", since I am involved in sales. I can only imagine how useful it will be for people who are preparing to enter legal career world. Narration was engaging too.

Communication is key

Communication is one of the most important things I feel when it comes to being a lawyer. With improper communication, situations can be interpreted different than what is really happening. It was interesting to learn that people tend to make interpretations based off their personalities I recommend this to anyone looking to better their communication skills and to think beyond ourselves.

Check mate!

I liken this to Learning the art of chess and becoming excellent at it! Thinking like a lawyer gives you a leg up on the competition and also improves your mental awareness of what your component might do next. It also allows you to win in your life knowing how you will maximize any situation to benefit you or your client. Very interesting read!
I just wish the narrative voice aligned better with the actual book. Probably just my personal opinion but I felt it could have been in alignment with the book delivery in strength. But all an all, an excellent book to enhance your life’s knowledge.

Fascinating take on life skills

I recently read one of those books telling you how to use The Art Of War to run your daily life. It was a little bit of a stretch. This is a vast improvement on that idea. Such an interesting point of view. I will def be using some of these tactics in the future. Great narration too.
