About this listen

An advocate may know what to say but is only effective when he or she knows how to be persuasive. Combining facts with know-how to persuade judges, juries, and arbitrators, the book teaches immediately useful techniques such as how to channel the initial adrenaline buzz, grab and hold the fact finder’s attention, gesture while speaking, speak in phrases, and polish the persuasive style. Based on 30 years of experience from coaching practitioners, this guide integrates cutting-edge discoveries in human factors, gesture studies, linguistics, neuroscience, and sports psychology to give litigators a competitive edge.

Good information and practical advice for any experience level

I liked the material, but the slow, unnatural cadence and annunciation of the narrator makes it frustrating at times. Too robotic in delivery sometimes.

A great read for those interested in Law

I found the book to be quite insightful and pretty easy to follow (Almost like a textbook or guide), However I misunderstood and thought the content would be from a defense perspective not so much a prosecutorial perspective. It was an interesting read nonetheless and was so well laid out that I could understand it at 1.5x speed or more almost entirely.

repetition makes for a boring book

Tap this should’ve been a 90-minute book
Even at time and a half speed, it was hard to stay interested because it was so repetitive
