Featured Article: Virgin River—The Definitive Explainer

Before it was adapted into a Netflix show, Virgin River was a series of more than 20 novels by New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr. The audiobooks, all read by Audie Award-winning narrator Thérèse Plummer, are well-loved by a wide audience. The series takes place in Virgin River and revolves around new resident Melinda Monroe, a nurse practitioner and midwife. There's more to this sleepy town than first appearances suggest.

The best narrator!

The community of Virgin River comes alive in the voice of Therese Plummer in two wonderfully-written Christmas books. This was so enjoyable!

A great read

I love the Virgin River series, how all the characters a mesh together into this great community of friends and family. The books are so much better than the series.

Not my favorite.

I personally did not care for this particular block. It is comprised of 3 short stories and I didn't feel like I had a time with the storylines that I needed to get fully invested in the characters.

Short stories leaves you feeling short changed

Drew Foley deserves more than this short story! I feel like this only sets up each story and leaves us without any satisfaction of the characters love stories being fully rounded out.

Confusing

I struggled listening to this one because it seemed to jump ahead in the storyline. I realized after listening that it is in fact 2 books 8 & 12. other than the jump in storyline the book was great as they all have been.

Books 8 and 12

Please release these two books to audible. The short version of the books did nothing but left me wanting more. I believe it’s Just another way to sell the books. I am really enjoying the series. The further that I get into the series you either offer a short story or cut the book sort. Would it be to much to ask to add one more chapter and leave your readers knowing how the story should end.
