Hell on Earth.
That’s what it’s like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel. It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts - immortals who want to kill Luce. Daniel hides Luce at Shoreline, a school on the rocky California coast with unusually gifted students: Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans.
At Shoreline, Luce learns what the Shadows are, and how she can use them as windows to her previous lives. Yet the more Luce learns, the more she suspects that Daniel hasn’t told her everything. He’s hiding something - something dangerous. What if Daniel’s version of the past isn’t actually true? What if Luce is really meant to be with someone else?

What made the experience of listening to Torment the most enjoyable?
It is fun and fantasy no reality it lets me disconnect from the troubles of my life. I am a romantic and thinking that everything will work out in the end is what I want. What other book might you compare Torment to and why?
Of course Twilight and City of BonesWhich scene was your favorite?
The final battle at then end when Luce decides that she might love Daniel but she needs to find herself first.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No it didn't make me cry or laugh but I did worry for the lives of some of my fav characters.Any additional comments?
Just listen and loose yourself from your worries, like your dead end job, partner with cancer, house that needs to be vacumed, lawn to mow, weeds to pull. Escape!!This story is addictive just suspend pretensions

This book.. it is a tiny bIt better then the first, it does seam all over the place still and I want to hate the lead girl UNTILL the end and I was like freaking finally ugh!! At last she makes a good choice for herself! The herself part being important, and she made so many stupid choices and a lot of it is being left in the dark and trying to just figure stuff out with absolutely no guidance. Then this guy claims to know her above all people but after so many repeated try’s to save her he didn’t see her wanting to know answers?!?! What a dumbo! I am actually looking forward to the next book now that she is making her own choices.
Tiny bit better

Would you listen to Torment again? Why?
I already had. This series is fantastic. What did you like best about this story?
The love story, the secrets around each one, the curse that exist but nobody can explain, so Lucy need discover by herself. The fact of fall in love seen so easy, that you question your decions.Which character – as performed by Justine Eyre – was your favorite?
All character has someting in particular, but Ariane is probably the most different of all them. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
