Guilt has defined Luke Dempsey's life. But it was self-destructiveness that landed him in prison. As they draw closer to the final clue, their reasons for resisting each other begin to crumble, and Luke realizes his promise will push him to the limit in more ways than one. He'll do his best to shield Finley from unseen threats, but who's going to shield him from losing his heart?

I so enjoyed this book. The story line was awesome. I loved that Finley had such a heart for animals.

It's been very difficult to pay attention to the story because the narrator is so bad. She stops frequently in the middle of sentences, and her voice goes from low to normal, so I can't get the volume right. Also, the young woman character sounds like an older woman, and you can't tell the woman's voice from the man's. There's no difference. I feel sorry for the author because this narrator does such a disservice to her book.

Mushy at times but still enjoyable. I find Becky Wade’s characters to be colorful and fun to get to know. I especially like that their faith (or lack of) in Hod is weaved throughout their story with grace and truth.

this is a sweet love story.
love that main character passionately loves animals. this is a story about redemption, forgiveness, and grace.
great job putting this together team. at first I didn't care for the narrators voice, just didn't sit right with me. but ended up giving her a 5. not only did she grow on me, I couldn't find any things to critique

Excellent plot, it contains themes like excitement, grief, shame, restoration and most importantly love! Romance at its best! Clean and passionate.

This was truly a wonderful story and an amazing conclusion to the series of the miracle five. I can’t possibly express how much I love Luke and his relationship with Finley. There’s is a complex and beautiful romance. I am not usually a fan of mysteries but this one was an intriguing and integral part of the overall storyline and development of the characters. I have wondered about Luke throughout the series and it was wonderful to see this level of redemption on so many levels. Again, I loved everything about it. Finley was the perfect soulmate for Luke even though she was such a vastly different personality from him.

I also was delighted by the secondary storyline of Ben and Akira and so happy to see them get their HEA… as well as the coming together again of the miracle five.

Becky Wade is truly a storyteller beyond compare.

However, to be honest, what I did not love was the narration of this one. So I gave up on the audible version and stuck to my Kindle.
