Publisher's summary

A companion guidebook to the number one best-selling Good to Great, focused on implementation of the flywheel concept, one of Jim Collins’ most memorable ideas that has been used across industries and the social sectors and with start-ups.

The key to business success is not a single innovation or one plan. It is the act of turning the flywheel, slowly gaining momentum and eventually reaching a breakthrough. Building upon the flywheel concept introduced in his groundbreaking classic Good to Great, Jim Collins teaches listeners how to create their own flywheel, how to accelerate the flywheel’s momentum, and how to stay on the flywheel in shifting markets and during times of turbulence.

Combining research from his Good to Great labs and case studies from organizations like Amazon, Vanguard, and the Cleveland Clinic that have turned their flywheels with outstanding results, Collins demonstrates that successful organizations can disrupt the world around them - and reach unprecedented success - by employing the flywheel concept.

Great addition to Jim's books! I recommend!

I really liked this monograph audio book. I'm always looking for better ways to filter all of my good ideas everyday. The flywheel will help with this!
I ended up buying the physical book too because I wanted to see the graphics and examples.

Build your own Flywheel

An excellent monograph focused on the Flywheel from the iconic Good to Great. I heard Collins speak in January of this year and it inspired me to build my own flywheel. It was one of the most impactful exercises I did in 2019 and a fantastic little book.

It’s a Gem for businesss by Jim Collins

What great findings Jim Collins has made throughout his career of investigating companies that make it and break it. I find great value and relevance in his findings and analogies for creating great companies and most of all flywheels that maximize value for all. This book is great for investors, entrepreneurs, company builders and executives interested in finding the path to greatness.

Great read. So many key components to be successful. I love that it doesn't promote fast growth but rather wisdom and endurance.
