Publisher's summary

Jason has lost everything. He finally has the college to himself. There isn't anybody from his past to ruin the character he’s created for himself anymore. It’s just him.

The funeral is only a few days away. He blames himself. He can hardly see through the darkness of the guilt he’s feeling. Then there’s Lisa. Lisa is the light in the darkness. Lisa is the way back to the daylight. Lisa is the girl that he’s always been looking for, and he can't believe it’s taken him so long to realize that.

Sad and hopeful all at the same time

Poor Jason! At least the author left us with hope for his future. I’ve loved this serious because I can listen to it during my hour long lunch. The narration was totally on point and I love Lisa and felt better for her during the funeral when she meets Sophie’s father. Really enjoy this series

Hope great in this short novella

This is a very short audio. First from the author. Book 3 in the series. Have not head the other 2. There is dispar in this but great hope , also needing self forgiveness.
Hero is Jason. Heroine is Lisa

Jason blames himself on his loves lost of life. He thinks he has the kiss of death. Jason meets Lisa and he tries to keep away because he thinks once he kisses her Lisa will loose her life also . He has nightmares and he doesn’t want to be alone
Grab it and see what the mares are about , does Jason take a chance and kiss Lisa

First time I hear Samuel the narrator. He was quite good. Voice was clear and strong. He had a nice accent

Picking Up the Pieces and Going on…

Jason tried his best but it still was not enough to save Sophie. He is haunted by the single kiss she gave him. Why did she do it? Lisa is there for him. Sweet and innocent the only one who helped him find her that night. Lisa is feeling the same guilt as Jason for not saving Sophie. Attending the funeral together is a real eye-opener for Lisa when she meets the evil man that is Sophie’s father and finally understands the torment that she lived with. This was a great closing chapter to this story leaving hope for Jason to find his happiness. The narration by Samuel Deeter again was just fantastic. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

unexpected

This book didn't end the way I thought it would. I personally thought that the guy would end up feeling so bad for not being able to save his friend that he would do something horrible. Not the case. Instead the ending decided to throw a moral in it. Going to stop there and just say I loved this series of books. I don't want to give it away.

I also could sit and listen to the narrator for hours. His voice is smoothing, clear and you can feel the story through it.

Book 3

A great addition to the series. I am totally enjoying the 3 books so far. They are short enough that I listened it on one sitting.

Twisted - Where Hope Grows (Book 3) Coming of Age Romance
By: Third Cousins, Danica Reid Narrated by: Samuel Deeter

As Jason tries to come to terms with Sophie’s death, he struggles to understand why. We are taken on his heartfelt journey of his grief and his attempt to continue on through life without Sophie. Readers will experience all the emotions with his story. I recommend this to all readers; however, I suggest you start with book one in order to fully understand Jason’s journey. Twisted - Where Hope Grows (Book 3) Coming of Age Romance is another four star book from Danica Reid and Third Cousins.
